q: Did you know that New Zealand started metrication in 1969 with the establishment of the Metric Advisory Board (MAB) and completed metrication on 14 December 1976?
a: Thanks for the history lesson! This sizing is something of a convention with greenhouses, but if you're after the exact metric dimensions you can find them under 'SPECIFICATIONS'.

q: Hello, I am quite keen on your green house but the feed back on the instructions is not great. Have they been updated? Thanks
a: They have changed over the years, the best thing would be to give us a call and we'll be happy to send you a copy so you can make your own mind up.

q: How is this green house anchored to the ground?
a: The lower frame has stakes at each corner that go into the ground, this can be reinforced by the tie down kit we also sell (see 'Frequently bought together above'). There are lot's of options for installation however, if you look at our customer photos on the green houses some use pavers as a base, or build a raised wooden box frame to then attach it to etc. If you contact our sales team on 0800 800 880 or [email protected], they'll be happy to send you the assembly manual so you can see what is involved.

q: Can the door be changed to open either way?

q: Will these withstand wind in Wellington? I live in a high wind zone.
a: These are not designed for high wind zones.

q: Hi, we live in a high wind zone (on the side of a mountain). How wind resistant is this model?
a: They're sturdy especially with the ground anchor kit, however they're not designed specifically for a designated high wind zone . If you silicone in the panels in this can help them stop blowing out, plus installing it in as sheltered a position as possible. Have a read of reviews on this and other sizes to see where others are using them to give yourself an idea of whether one would be feasible for your site.

Great end result

The product is great but need to work on easier instructions

Product is good although instructions are a little confusing and don't forget to install the extra bolts - you need them later

Nice but...

As mentioned the instructions need rewriting and I feel the seller should be responsible for that. Very time consuming to figure out as current. See other review that outlined construction. My greenhouse did not survive Wgtn southerlies though that is my bad...I knew it wasn't built to do so but gave it a go anyway!

Good end result but tricky to assemble

Now that it’s done happy with the greenhouse but the other reviews proved to be right. The instructions aren’t easy to work from. Really important to read the whole thing as later in the construction you need bolts in the Chanel to add bracing elements. You definitely need another person as it would be really difficult on your own. Took a day and a bit to complete

A good product but challenging to erect. Instructions could have been better.

My plastic panels are nearly all damaged and chipped by the sun. Very disappointing because you have to disassemble it to replace if you can still get the same size. Bought in 2016

The instructions are not too bad but they are mostly in diagrams so just watch out for some of the less obvious things like inserting extra bolts into channels as you will need these later in the construction and it is hard to put them in further down the track. We live in a high wind area and it is standing up well although we have a bit of shelter around it to make sure.

Fun project putting it together as the instructions are a bit of a challenge!. Great little greenhouse.

We purchased one of these about 6 years ago, it has been in storage until now and gone through 3 house moves. Put it up over the weekend. It went together nicely. Highly recommended!

My Green House Experience

I was initially unsure of how the assembly would go after reading some of the reviews, but it went together very smoothly. Yes the instruction booklet is a little out of order. I assembled mine in this order : 1 - Base Construction (page 3 at back of booklet), 2 - Door & Window (pages 8 -10), 3 - Preparation Work (pages 11,12), 4 - Main Construction (pages 13 -39), 5 - Secure To Base (page 5 at back of booklet), 6 - Reinforcing (last page). Just make sure you know how many parts are needed for each step and you will be ok. If it's a little breezy you will need another person to help, otherwise you can almost do it by yourself. I made a heavy wooden base and bolted my greenhouse to it.

Evergreen Greenhouse 2.4 M x 1.8 M

My wife and I assembled it in a garage out of the wind then carried it to the prepared base . Quite challenging to assemble but we got there. Very high wing area so braced it to existing garden shed and to fence. Also fitted extra bracing and RTV panels to all bracing. Also RTV to all panel edges. We had had 130km hour winds since and no problems or movement . Had problems fitting base bolts in 4 corners as bolt too close together. Otherwise very happy with the end product

I have just recently completed the assembly. Great little unit. I assembled by myself following the step by step instructions. Not too difficult at all. Grand kids love it and come around every few days to water and see how their strawberries, tomatoes and lettuce are growing.

A good purchase

This was a good purchase. All the components were there and the instructions are clear if complex. It is important that the instructions are followed exactly. I am 66yrs old and I was able to build it myself also we had 126km/h winds here on the weekend and it stood up to them quite well. A very useful purchase.

Great product, Challenging build!

This is good value and does the job. It’s super warm in there through winter and the heat is kept inside really well overnight, even though mine is not raised and is on a concrete base. However, the warnings I read on other reviews before I purchased regarding the instructions are accurate. They make little to no sense and aren’t in the right order in the booklet. Dig them out in advance and separate the pages, then put them back together in an order that makes some logical sense and you’ll be fine. If you get it wrong, you have to completely dismantle parts of the build to fix it, as it relies on threading bolts in particular slots ahead of time. Not all slots have openings to add them later if you miss one. It took 2 of us about 8-9 hours to complete whilst trying to decipher the directions!

I have just completed assembly. At this point all I can say is that it gets very hot inside whilst I was building. Pretty neat unit, I assembled by myself with the help of a couple of step ladders, instructions simple, built in mid winter

Good little Greenhouse

Paper instructions are not too bad, just badly printed in the wrong order. Take some time to cut it up and reassemble the instructions depending on what part your putting together. Base or greenhouse. You need double the length to install the guttering as they slide in. Me & the mrs put it together over 2 days

6 x 8 Greenhouse

Having read the previous reviews online, they all mentioned bad instructions. I recommend reading and rereading the instructions, followed by cutting the book down the spine. From there rearrange the pages into the correct order. From there I had no issues, it went together well with one person and has been growing veges for the last month

instructions very hard to read - eventually cut them in half and put in easy to decipher order - awesome end result

A little engineers joke

Really pleased with the end product HOWEVER in line with other reviewers please please please sort the instruction manual out - it is not in sequential steps and some of the detail diagrams miss a future step which means you have to deconstruct a number of times. We had to trim and silicon the final pieces of polycarbonate as the lack of logic defeated us. Only recommend if you had meccano as a child

The greenhouse itself is great once assembled and we are loving it. However, the instructions were somewhat lacking in places and were all in the wrong order, providing some interesting challenges!

Plastic glasshouse

Putting the greenhouse together is NOT easy ,I had a builder and university professor to help , some of the instructions are ambiguous. Also although we are in a sheltered position the first (not very strong) wind blew several roof panels out and of course to redo means taking the glasshouse apart !! I would NOT recommend this product you are better to pay a bit more for a proper glasshouse

Things are growing already

Had little problem assembling the Greenhouse. I did it all myself in around fourteen hours I used quite a lot of silicon to seal all the places where water may get in. Our kumara seed tubers are spouting already Must get the tomatoes going After costing out building a wooden greenhouse, this was way cheaper and quicker to assemble

Not the easiest instructions to follow. Had to use heat gun to soften plastic parts to fit. Some holes drilled incorrectly. Hope you don't need replacement parts as crazy expensive. eg. small screws at $4.00 each.

The best Green house I have owned and the easiest to assemble. A bit of study on the instructions, get prepared and up she goes, very satisfied with the strength and the way it went together, I would highly recommend this Green House.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I was able to construct most of it by myself and I am in my early eighties. Just a little bit of help to lift the frame. Instructions were very easy to follow. Constructing it was an enjoyable experience and I hope to get many years satisfaction from growing my own veges!

I had very prompt delivery from Trade Tested and was able to erect the greenhouse virtually on my own. The instructions and the numbering of parts were clear and reasonably easy to follow. I had one little glitch where I pre-loaded some bolts in the wrong slots but there were plenty of extra bolts so no problem!!

Green house is great!

An imposing package of materials arrived promptly and was found to be of excellent quality. Although the instructions were somewhat abbreviated, the structure went together easily over a few days. I wouldn't recommend tto anyone without good DIY skills - quite a complex structure. But it went together well, parts fitted perfectly and the end result very satisfying. We love it !

Not that easy

I was told on the phone that one person could do it in 4 hours.I think it would be a safe bet to offer $10,000 to a person who had never seen the instructions before to complete everything in that time. It took two of us, one a builder and myself 13 hours to complete the project. There are heaps of diagrams in the instruction booklet, but there is virtually no written instructions giving you the order to do things. On a number of occasions we had to disassemble things and redo them in a different order which slowed the whole project down. The first strong winds did blow a panel out so I am a little worried what will happen if we have really strong winds as it is very hard to put panels back in once they come out. Looks ok once completed so now the test will be related to its durability under harsher conditions.

Greenhouse magic

This glasshouse is a great starter or small grower pack. Putting it together can be tricky and does need 2 or 3 sets of hands and some lateral thinking. It takes a lot longer for the first timers and the instructions do not include all the steps needed for easy fitting together. Does the job and grows great plants.

Elle Wellington

Poor instructions

Was disappointed with the quality of the instructions provided with the greenhouse. Translation into English was complete gibberish for the most part. If it wasn’t for my partners ability to interpret the pictures and use his common sense, we would never have got it assembled. Highly recommend you get friends round to help and plan to spend the whole day putting it together. Good luck!

Great little Greenhouse But...

A great little Greenhouse... but A. it takes a lot longer than you think to put it together... but it is worth it B. was disappointed to find 1 piece missing which I didn't realise till right near the end, by which time it was too late to undo the assembly. Then the wind blew and a couple of panels blew out... finally received my missing part after weeks of waiting and put it all back together... was told at that stage by TT that I should have used sealer (not supplied) to help keep the panels in C. Have now just received a second Greenhouse (that I bought for a mate)... with a ripped open box so hope all the parts are there! D. First Greenhouse is great... but the service from TT is average (when things go wrong, as they invariably do with imported product) E. Have subsequently had a roof panel blow out (that I hadn't sealed in) and have had to replace with expensive 4.5mm acrylic cos I can't find any replacement 4mm twinwall on the market
