At Trade Tested we aim to offer the best shipping rates in New Zealand on everything we sell - in fact we often subsidise it to make sure you get the best deal. It’s always our priority that your order arrives on time and in one piece. After almost a decade selling around the country, we have a great team of delivery partners who can handle everything from couriering a hammer to Hamner Springs to hauling a luxury log cabin to Leigh.
Your delivery options & estimated costs can be found on product pages using our handy shipping calculator. Select your location for a regional pricing estimate based on metro area delivery, final delivery pricing based on your exact address will then show in the checkout.
Generally if your order is placed before 11am then it will get picked up by the end of that day. If it’s after 11am it will get picked up the following day. For orders containing items over 30kg, it’s best to allow one extra day. These timeframes apply to weekdays only.
The delivery times we quote in the shipping calculator start once the order is picked up. These estimates are based on 90% of deliveries to your area. Once a product is picked up for delivery, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information which you can use to get delivery updates. Unless specified all our products are in held in stock at our Auckland warehouse.
All our products are delivered by third party couriers and carriers. We have a range of delivery partners to make sure you get the best option for the product being delivered.
Our key partners are Courierpost, Team Global Express, Fliway Transport and Auckland Metro Freight (AMF).
Pickup is always welcome from our Auckland Store. You can find it near Auckland Airport at Kahakaha Lane, 72 Tidal Road in Mangere. Our team will be able to help you get your order in the back of your car, trailer or ute.
If you live in any main urban area in New Zealand this will tend to be your best option. For smaller items we use Courierpost. Larger orders are taken care of by one of our other delivery partners around the country. For home deliveries of heavy items please make sure someone is available to assist the driver with unloading.
Many of our customers prefer delivery to a local depot. This can save cost and time waiting around for it to show up. It’s particularly popular for rural customers. If depot delivery is available it will be shown under shipping options in the cart and checkout.
Don’t forget you need to pick your order up within 7 days otherwise it will be returned to us.
We regularly deliver product to freight forwarders who specialise in deliveries to the Pacific Islands. We can also supply GST free for qualifying customers. For more information, please call and ask to speak with our Commercial Sales Manager.

All deliveries require a signature. If no one is there to accept it, you can easily organise a redelivery or pickup by contacting the delivery company using the details on your dispatch email.
If the order is showing as ‘delivered’ but it hasn’t turned up please get in touch with the delivery company directly. You can also try tracking the delivery online or give them a bell using the details which will be in your email.
If your order arrives damaged please do not sign for it! If you do, it means you agreeing to accept the goods as damaged. The best thing to do is get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can sort it out. You must notify us of any damage within 24 hours of delivery.
Depending on how long it’s been since you placed your order we may be able to change your delivery address. Please contact us.
By specifying signature not required we can’t guarantee that the delivery company will follow this due to their own policies. It’s best to contact them directly and check.
If part of your order is on pre-order we will hold your order until everything is in stock. If you’d prefer to get you in stock items delivered sooner then get in touch.
If you wish to cancel your order please call us on 0800 800 880 as soon as possible. If you cancel before your order is sent you’ll receive a full refund.
If your order has already been picked up then unfortunately it’s too late to cancel. You will have to follow the returns process once your order arrives and your delivery fee will not be refunded.
We can’t specify an exact time of delivery. But we can hold your order until a future date if you order over the phone.
