Product overview

Founded in 1947 by Walter Steiner in Winterthur, Switzerland, the Stewi brand has grown to become not only synonymous with laundry products in Switzerland, but around the world.

Still manufactured in their facility in Winterthur near Zurich, the StewiLift pulley-operated Airer is made with pride from quality powder-coated aluminium and is designed to give many years of trouble-free service. Designed along contemporary lines to provide maximum functionality StewiLift Airers are as dependable as a Swiss watch!

The Airer once installed is designed to be loaded at chest height and then simply pulleyed up to the drying position just below the ceiling. Operating the pulleys is surprisingly easy and the washing will soon dry in the warmer air near the ceiling. And remember – nothing cluttering your precious floor area!

Due to their rust-resistant design, StewiLift Airers can also be used outside – for instance under an open verandah ceiling. Each kitset comes with all required mounting hardware and DIY assembly instructions.

StewiLift Airers are 0.7m wide and depending on room available can be set to a desired length 1.28m - 1.86m before fitting the cord supplied. Fully extended the Airer holds 18m of washing. The folding arms allow the Airer to extend 1.1m down from the ceiling for loading. Order yours today.

Q:
What happens to the cord when it is raised to ceiling ..does it just hang down?
A:
Yes it does hang down. This is so you're able to pull the ceiling airer back down after it has been raised to the ceiling.

Stewi lift outside

Amazing outside under the porch. So easy to install. Clothes dry fast in all weathers now.

Outside line is now history

No more rushing to get clothes when rain threatens. Clothes dry in the breeze in natural light even on wet days. When not in use, the line is tucked up out of view. Only one gripe. When fully loaded, the thin rope makes pulling to the up position a struggle. A Larger rope size or improved pulley system could make all the difference.

Great for the cold days

I was sick of tripping over multiple clothes horses so this sorted my problem brilliantly. Might even buy a second to go outside in a covered area.

Excellent buy.

Great hanger. Easy to install and works well. Use it every day

Doug Canterbury
Does the job nicely

Works well. You definitely need the higher ceiling to get the benefit. Needs to be stacked evenly.
