The Brabantia Lift-O-Matic makes hanging out the washing a breeze.

The height is seamlessly adjustable between 129cm to 187cm, so you can always have it at your perfect working height. Have it low down for drying bedding and pillows, or up high for longer items. Special holes in each arm are specifically designed to hold a clothes hanger, making the Lift-O-Matic ideal for drying delicate laundry.

The tough, non-slip UV protected line is designed to be easily replaceable when needed and to stay taut when fully loaded, making the Lift-O-Matic easy to rotate even with wet washing on board. With 60m of line space, there is more than enough room for a family sized wash.

The included metal ground spike makes set up seamless (concrete ground tube available separately), while the washing line can be folded down and removed, maximising your outdoor space. There is a sturdy hanging loop to make storage easy.

Is the ground spike supplied with this item suitable for being set in concrete?

No, there is a concrete ground tube available separately.

Q:
I am 1.87 tall and don't want to have to bend down when hanging up washing. Is there any way that I can install the dryer line in a way that will increase its height to 2.00 tall?
A:
The total height of the pole is 2m. The hanging height adjusts between 1.29m and 1.87m, you would not need to bend down with it at the max height.

Q:
We have an existing concreted ground pipe which is 50mm diameter. Would the pole fit this?
A:
The pole diameter is 45mm so it will fit, however it may need to be packed out a bit for a more snug fit.

Q:
Do the holes in the stainless steel upright allow water to enter inside. If so were does the water lodge?
A:
The pole is actually aluminium and is constructed so that the water cannot lodge somewhere. It will allow the water to run through in the ground.

Q:
When not in use, can the clothesline fold up/contract which can either stay in the spike or be removed?
A:
These can be contracted up and the spike can be covered. When you buy these units they are contracted up so it'll give you an idea of what its like when you want to put the unit away.

What is the outside diameter of the pole at the bottom, ie what size pipe (internal diameter) is required in the ground / concrete paving for the pole to slide into?

The arms slant up as per the images so yes the lines are slightly staggered.

Seems to be a reasonable quality washing line. The spike which goes in the ground works well, but when you insert the washing line in, it is very wobbly.

Only downside was the ground spike is a bit wobbly if you intend to put large loads of towels or heavier items to hang. Better to use the concrete in version available separately.

This is a value for money spent Clothesline. Very simple to install when locating the best site for catching winter/summer sunshine. Easy to remove and replace for party use etc. A second in-ground insert as an option with purchase would be good.
