Exactly what we were looking for in an outdoor vegetable garden. Like others pointed out we made sure to drill a hole to allow for excess water to drain and we choose not to install the water gauge as it would always show low. Really happy with this so far :)
I had my neighbour put this together for me. Perfect for growing lettuce spinach and silverbeet greens at my door and attractive too. My wood vege bin is starting to breakdown so this is a much better option AND movable!
I planted out both planters with bulbs on the 7th June. Both planters are saturated and the biomix has not dried out for over a month.
Very happy and it’s a great vege garden to have on my deck. It was easy to assemble. I would like to have had it a bit deeper so that I could grow veges that had deeper root systems.
I have resolved the issue by taking enough potting mix out so I could access part of the reservoir and drill a hole in it so the water can drain out. I reread the instructions and found on page 2 Optional: it does say Exiting option to open the system manually by opening the drain plug. That’s when a seen my mistake, all good now. I have read other reviews with same problem they obviously made the same mistake, on assembling.
