The saw was a little tough to get started straight out of the box, the choke is VERY rich it seems, so I found that for the first 1-3 starts, just keep the choke off and keep pulling. Once the saw has an hour or so worth of good use it will start first pull when warm and only needs choke until the first cough when cold, but you'll want to turn it off fast to avoid flooding, like I said, it's a rich choke! The first job for my saw was cutting down and processing into rounds of three pine trees. The saw freed up quickly and it has plenty of power, I won't hesitate to leap into a big job with this saw, it seems well made and it works hard.
Very happy with my purchase, easy to start. Looks to have a lot of plastic but that helps keep the weight down. Does all I expected. I was a bit annoyed about a special price offer just after I bought it but still happy at the price I paid.
Used chainsaws for years first one new that doesn't start got fuel got spark got no go. Awfull
I figured by the time I paid someone to cut small trees around the home, it would be cost effective to own a chainsaw. My neighbor is good at things like this so he assembled it but he did stumble on the choke set up and couldn't get it to work. He figured it out after a chat with a mower man and away it went. First tree was the biggest so did that in chunks and it did the job well. The next time I went to use it, again with the choke! Back to neighbor and once again he sorted it. It's only downfall I guess, I've read another review that says same. As I said, the price was really good and it'll pay for itself soon enough. I like that it's not so rowdy too!
Not perhaps the most powerful saw in the world but a very handy unit and great value. Just don't follow the advice in the manual re trying to assemble with the chain break on.... Great price.
