Q:
The manual says the cutter head can be connected directly to the handle (battery unit). Is that in fact the case - ie can it also be used without the extension poles in place?

Yes you can remove the middle section and connect the handle section and top pole+cutter section.

Would this be suitable for hedge trimming including Feijoa and Pittisporum trees?
A:
It's not the best option for small hedges, but great for Feijoa and pittosporum.

Does it dissemble or pack down to transport? Looking to take on plane (in checked luggage of course)
A:
No it's not really designed to disassemble beyond retracting/extending. It's easy to damage the wiring by pulling it apart.

Q:
How long do you get out of the battery before it goes flat and how long does it take to recharge?
A:
The recharge time is 60mins for a 2.0Ah battery. The run time really depends on how much load is being placed on the tool. Thicker woods that are denser and harder to cut will drain the battery faster - you should get approx 50 cuts on a charge, but it totally depends on application.

What is the weight of the saw with the battery attached pls? I noted it was too heavy for one of your reviewers and she had to borrow a man which kind of defeats the purpose if I have to pay a man to use it!! I may very well have the same problem.

Great tool!

Great tool to cut those thicker branches quicker and easier. A bit heavier than I thought it would be but manageable, also would have been good to have a small amount chain oil included but a minor inconvenience. Our Greenworks products are stacking up and not letting us down

Excellent Tool

Really happy with this tool. Great cutting power and effective at even quite thick branches. Only down points are the top-heavy weight which makes it difficult to hold up in the air for an extended long time and the shoulder strap where the quick release clip is too large and doesn't click into the moulded clip on the body of the saw. But liveable issues.

Very good pole chainsaw

Easy to assemble and operate. reasonably well balanced at full stretch. Battery provides plenty of power and full charge lasted for all the work i required.

Greenworks 40v Pole saw skin

Having purchased a 40v lawn mower in the past ,it made sense to purchase the pole saw skin as well in order to trim my trees . I am happy to report that it has exceeded my expectations in they way it has preformed ,likewise for the mower. I would not hesitate to recommend these tools to anyone thinking of purchasing the same articles. Highly, recommended.

40V greenworks pole sew.
