Powered by the Hyundai 159cc 4-stroke high torque, low emission petrol engine, it’s ideal for drilling into earth in order to set fence posts, poles, trees, shrubs & foundation stumps for both domestic and professional settings.
Equipped with a reduction gear for better performance (30:1), the steel gears also ensure maximum reliability and maintain high durability.
The 159cc engine has tremendous mid-range torque, so the machine does not have to be operated at maximum revs when drilling - giving you a quieter user experience, reducing fuel consumption and promoting long engine life. Fitted with easy-start technology the HYEA1590 engine is easier to start and its heavy-duty air filter ensures long engine life.
Supplied with 3 interchangeable steel auger attachments to perform professional quality work quickly and easily. Quick-action release ensures every drill bit can be changed in a flash.
The on/off switch, fingertip throttle control and safety trigger are mounted on the right hand grip, providing easy, precise and safe control. Instructions are generic - therefore not entirely accurate for this machine. Fuel exits the priming plunger when laid on its side to start - albeit this is the starting procedure per the instructions. Fuel exits the filler cap when laid in the same (side) position per the instructions. Fuel/oil flooded the air filter and choked the engine. Now have to source a replacement air filter cartridge as machine won't run. Low revving engine delivering insufficient torque to power the 300mm auger - even in soft soil.
I bought this to dig post holes and it's much better than hand digging them. There are however a couple of design features which make it annoying. 1) Auger cannot be left on its side with any petrol left in it. All of the petrol leaks out. 2) The auger isn't strong enough to use the largest auger bit without first predrilling a hole with the next size down. As it takes a bit of time to switch between auger bits, this is slightly annoying. Smallest and medium auger bit work really well. Lastly, this might be common sense to most people, but the auger bit can't cut through tree roots
