The cutting-edge brushless motor provides more power, longer running time and higher speeds as well as greater efficiency and less noise, while the 55L catcher can handle plenty of clippings.
This high-tech mower even features a built in load sensor to automatically regulate RPM based on load conditions, so you'll always have the right power for the conditions.
If you don’t want to dispose of your clipping it’s easy switching to side discharge or mulching modes, giving you plenty of options when it comes to handling your garden waste.
Greenworks Brushless DigiPro Series is an innovative solution for your garden tasks that rivals petrol-powered tools. Combined with the 40V G-MAX system, the Brushless DigiPro Series features a powerful brushless motor that improves the battery efficiency, delivers more power for greater performance, produces less noise and vibration, and extends the life of the motor for exceptional durability.
Traditional brushed motors tend to wear down over time, reducing efficiency and power. With a brushless motor, you can expect the same performance as the day you purchased it. The gear reduction design of the brushless motor also delivers greater torque.

We have a 4500+ sq m property, much of it being in grass Having used a weed eater for a year to control that area (hard work!) I decided to go for the self propelled Greenworks 40v mower. Easy to unpack & assemble. Although I've only used it once on the slope - it's great! Powerful, easy to control and very effective at what it's supposed to do. Full marks - so far! Many thanks.
Am pleased with my mower it is much lighter than my old one. It struggles a bit in the longer kikuyu, like most mowers. I have found the 1 setting is too low at times but the 2nd setting too high, just an adjustment from old mower.
I bought this for 2 reasons: 1 to be "greener" with emissions as I know small engines are far more harmful to us and the environment with their emissions, due to having no catalytic converters. 2: I have a sloping section and my wife wanted something that she could use as well if her "garden slave" wasn't available. I watched a few reviews online and I would say this lives up to them well. We only have around 270m2 of lawn to mow, and as long as its not too long, (and wet) the one battery lasts fine. It takes a few cuts to get full longevity from the battery for some reason. The self propelled motor works a treat as we have a steep bank to climb to access various parts of the garden. It mulches well, but doesn't side chute the grass as well as my old petrol mower as I'm sure that's down to a lighter blade and maybe lower rpm. The mower definitely senses the amount of power required and adjusts the rpm as needed. I like the way you can just fold it down to store vertically, but as someone else pointed out, make sure you lock the handle in place when folding for storage, and/or remove the battery otherwise it will fold right down and touch the floor, and the self propelled handle is compressed and it might go for a wander! Overall the cut is good, it mulches well, its quieter on your ears, costs nothing to run, and no more trips to the garage with the petrol can!
Light and easy to operate, cuts lawn well, very quiet, battery lasts for entire job. So easy to switch on and off with a push of a button, no cord to pull, no messy petrol and oil.
I was a little apprehensive at first, with buying an electric mower. But I need not worry, has been great so far. I have a rather large lawn, and the battery lasts (if the grass isn't too long) all the way. I like the ease and convenience of it. The body of the mower is just as sturdy and heavy as a normal mower. All round, definitely recommend it.
