Types of smokers we have on offer

Whether you want the ease of a digital smoker or prefer a traditionally offset firebox, you’ll find smoker BBQs to meet every need.

Offset smokers

Say hello to the king of smoking meats. Offset BBQ smokers feature a firebox to the side, allowing your food to infuse with incredible smoky flavours without direct exposure to fire. This traditional smoker style typically uses large wood chunks or charcoal as its fuel.

Our affordable Royal Gourmet 2-in-1 smoker holds up to 2kg of charcoal for extended grilling and smoking sessions. Its removable ashtray means easy cleaning every time.

Electric smokers

For ever-consistent results, an electric digital smoker is your best bet. Precisely control smoking time and temperature using the digital display. With multiple large cooking racks, you’ll be ready for a feast.

Our 4-rack and 6-rack Bradley Smoker digital smokers let you cook in bulk with next to no effort. Load up the bisquettes, set the time and temp, and come back to juicy golden-brown perfection.

Pellet smokers

Our pellet wood smokers offer a more affordable digital smoking option that’s perfect for beginners. These smokers use wood pellets for fuel, making them an environmentally friendly alternative to charcoal and gas BBQs.

One-part smoker, one-part grill; Z Grills pellet BBQs provide an easy-to-use home cooking solution with electronic auto-start ignition, digital auto temperature control, and LED temperature readout.

Portable smokers

With their compact size, portable meat smokers are the perfect choice for fishing trips and camping. Smoke on the go with electric or traditional models.

Cook at home, via the car inverter, or on a powerbank with the 230V Z Grills portable smoker. The Dissco fish smoker hot-smokes fish in as little as 10 minutes, ideal for fresh catches.

Smoker reviews from our happy customers

“This grill exceeded expectations, super easy to assemble, and the results of cooking were so consistent and tasty, we are using it way more than I expected. Old gas BBQ hardly gets a look these days. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking at pellet grills, value for money can’t be beaten.”

    Millsy, Tauranga, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Saved a ton of money by smoking our own beef ribs rather than going to restaurants. Amazing smoker, would never consider getting a gas-powered one again.”

    B Kurt, Auckland, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Nothing but praise for this product, lifted BBQ day to a different level. No fuss smoking, set your times and temps and enjoy your day with your guests. Checking on the cook occasionally.”

    Russell, Auckland, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I really enjoy that I can do both cold smoking and hot smoking in one unit without having multiple attachments to accomplish this. I am also impressed with the number of YouTube videos that Bradley has put up, showing different recipes and techniques.”

    Robby, Island Bay, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Great little smoker. Two lots of St Louis ribs done, first time trying. Came out pretty darn good for my first attempt. Holds temperature great. Nice, clean and easy. Economical on pellets. Highly recommend. Built really well for a low price tag!”

    Alfonzo, Hawkes Bay, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Have cooked spare ribs twice in the 3-hour cycle at 180°C and was delighted with the result. However, I tried a 7-hour cook and was blown away by the result. Meat falling off the bone. However, to get great results, preparation of the meat was paramount. Unfortunately, I haven’t added any photos, but I will after my next cookout. Happy cooking!”

    Jaygee, Waikato, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Your smoker questions answered

What’s the difference between a grill and a smoker?

Smokers cook meat at a lower temperature via indirect heat from smoke, creating a deeply infused flavour and juicy, tender texture. Grills cook meat via direct exposure to fire, making them more versatile and quicker to use.

What wood chips should I use?

You can use any wood pellets for pellet grill smokers, usually found at your local hardware store.

Can any BBQ be a smoker?

While you can smoke meats on a gas barbecue, it can be more difficult due to the gaps on the grill plate. Buying a purpose-built food smoker will provide the best results. Most of our smokers double as grills, saving you space and money.
