q: Hi, Would this cut pavers?
a: No this wold not be the best tool for this.
By Trade Tested on April 7, 2021

q: Does this saw cut PVC pipe or do you have one that will?
a: Yes you'd really need a fine tooth blade though to stop the PVC shattering - say 60tpi.

q: Hi is this suitable for cutting a 600mm wide laminate benchtop and doing a mitre cut 45 degree angle? thanks
a: No, that's a long way outside what this is designed for. We would recommend a fine tooth handsaw as this is a precision cut (the laminate can splinter very easily), at the very least you could use a quality 60 tooth blade on a 185mm circular saw.

q: Will this cut 30mm thick concrete pavers with an appropriate blade?
a: Definitely not, you need a wet paver saw.

q: Is it suitable for cutting firewood
a: Yes it's perfect for kindling.
By Trade Tested on July 1, 2019

q: Can you easily get diamon blades for this? So it can cut through gems and jade?
a: We don't supply them, but yes it's a common arbor size.
By Trade Tested on April 28, 2020

q: Has it got a laser?
a: No you'll need to go up to the 255mm model for this feature.
By Trade Tested on March 20, 2019

q: Can you supply an aluminium cutting blade with this saw? If not what do you have that will handle aluminium? Doesn't need to be expensive or fancy as probably only 200 cuts of 1.5mm ali to be made
a: No we don't stock a suitable blade. You'll need a thin kerf 70 tooth blade to fit this machine (Blade arbour: Ø25.4mm).

q: Are replacement blades readily available?
a: Yes, we usually have them available in the 'Frequently Bought Together' section above.
By Trade Tested on November 15, 2019

q: Would it handle cutting aluminium flat bar, with the appropriate blade?
a: Yes it will.
By Trade Tested on November 5, 2019
0 votes
q: Will it cut thru a 4x2?
a: It would be at the very limit, if you were doing this regularly we would go up a size.
By Trade Tested on October 2, 2019
0 votes
q: Will this saw cut through a 100x50 wood?
a: At some angles yes - you can view the cut capacities under Specifications above. As you'll see you're reaching the max capacity, so it might be worth looking at the 255mm option if you are going to be doing lots of work with this size of timber.

q: Can it be use to cut 50x50 box steel with a steel cutting blade?
a: You will most likely need something larger than this model.

An honest small saw which has paid for itself by enabling a small decking project to go ahead

Brad North Island

The detent angles are out

If you are buying this for cheap and cheerful cutting, it might be okay, but the detents, which are the preset positions that the mitre stops on, usually at 0, 22.5, 45 degrees, are all inaccurate. They are set by a ballbearing sitting in a groove cast into the base, so can’t be adjusted. They sent me a replacement saw and it has the exact same problem. Avoid this saw if you need square cuts.

Fabulous wee saw!

Perfect for cutting firewood, the only issue l had was the blade came loose, quick fix with an allenkey. Does a brilliant job, cannot fit anything thicker than a 3×3 in it through, no 4×4 can be cut. The guard will not allow them through. An experienced operated maybe able to cut them, but l am an older lady who has never operated a mitre saw previously, and l had not problems at all. Highly recommended.

This is a great little saw and perfect for doing what we bought it for.The only issue I had was fitting it to the mitre bench. the base on the 210 saw is not made to fit the saw securing bars on the bench, I made a ply adapter palate as I wanted the saw to be secured by four bolts, not two.

This mitre saw is an excellent buy. The price is right and it works well. It is not too big and cumbersome so is easy to carry around. Helpful and Useful

Really handy little saw. It's a bit smaller than I was expecting but works just fine. It's perfect if you just need to make some cross cuts or mitres etc. I used it to help build some railings on my deck, and to cut some deck posts. i'm just a home DIY guy so this will probably last me years. Comes with a spare blade. Its not designed for big pieces of timber or really wide timber so it's limited, but in realy it's more than I need for simple DIY jobs around the house. A bargain at $99.
