q: Hi. Can the window be installed on either side?
a: Yes it can.

q: How do you secure the shed on a wooden base? I live in Wellington which can be quite windy sometimes. Would you recommend a metal shed instead?
a: You just need to screw or bolt the floor to the wooden base. No this will be comparable to the metal shed in terms of handling wind - this one is rated up to 105km/h.

q: Can these be dismantled if I wanted to relocate?
a: Not easily, as much of the construction is 'clip together'. If you really needed to, once empty you could move it without disassembling.

q: Is this product water tight? so no water can enter anywhere?
a: It depends how you mean, yes it will keep rain out. But it's not 'watertight', so if it floods around it water will still get in.

q: Do we need a floor for this?
a: This comes with it's own rigid floor, but you could always add your own wooden platform or pavers or similar.

a: No we don't have that option available.

So effective

Light weight , but solid enough...water tight and perfect for low wearing use. Very easy for two people to assemble. We use ours as a large dog kennel with an old two seater sofa and a few outdoor cushions. Perfect!

I assembled this myself and it took about 4 hours. Looks great and does the job. Seems to be waterproof at this stage.

Not a plain jane shed

This shed is great, very stylish and looks perfect in the backyard. Instructions were easy to follow and assemble. Had a lot of rain overnight and found the interior of the shed to be dry and watertight. A great buy and would recommend.

The shed looks good, good to have a window and skylight, far easier to erected than a metal shed, good to have a floor. One person erected the shed but it would have been easier with two.

Keter Shed 6x6

Really great Shed! It was really easy to assemble. You need two people but the other one is mostly to hold some things straight. It’s great looking too and spacious. It’s pretty sturdy, too. Our garden is on a slope so we spent a bit more time building a base than assembling the kit.

A practical storage solution

Just recently we moved into a brand new house where building footprint space was restricted. Having had Keter sheds in two previous properties, the logical choice was yet another Keter shed. We have found Keter to be easy to construct, with clear step by step instructions provided. The key to a successful build is to prepare a solid and level foundation pad. Without this, the shed will not be square or level causing doors to not fit properly. Consider carefully what you want to store and always provide a size up from your initial thoughts.

Very disappointed!!! We tried to see this shed prior to buying but no luck (our mistake). If I had, there is no way I would ever have bought it. Instead we went with what was in the specification. Specifically, Metal Reinforcement and Steel-reinforced structure. This to me gives the impression of a “Solid” garden shed. This is not the case. If you want a solid shed, this is not it. The steel reinforcements amount to two small pieces of metal pushed through each panel. I lifted one of the panels up above my head during installation, it doubled over. This shed took us longer than expected to install for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is so easy to break as you may expect with plastic so had to be careful. Secondly, some of it proved trickier than expected. But more importantly, myself and my wife sat with our head in our hands wondering what to do. I.E. Send it back or continue with the assembly. When we looked at the returns policy, if the package is opened or not in the same state as when delivered, you’re out of luck. Unfortunately for us the packaging was damaged beyond repair due to rain. Is this shed fit for purpose? Solidity wise, absolutely not! A kick to any of the panels and it’s going to cave in. I look forward to the day it fails its warranty. I don’t believe this is going to last 10 years. The only good thing about this shed, it looks good. How this got 5 Star reviews I have to question!

Sorry to hear the shed hasn’t matched your expectations. We feel like we have done a balanced job in the way we represent this product. There are photos and a video showing the internal structure that give a clear indication of panel construction and profile. Although not our strongest shed, you will find that even with a steel shed the panels will not have much rigidity until they are fully assembled. All shed designs have some compromise, and compared to a steel shed a resin shed has lots of benefits, including reduced condensation, ease of construction and is much better for high corrosion areas. It’s not designed to be high-security, but is lockable as a deterrent. Most sheds could be broken in to if someone was determined. Keter sell these sheds globally with great success, so we actually think (and hope!) you’ll be pleasantly surprised in a few years when you glimpse your shed in the backyard.

Great small shed

I replaced my metal shed that always was wet inside by condensation and leaks by this Keter plastic shed, after I built a strong treated timber base it took me only 2 hours to put it together. I'm very happy with is shed for my garden tools, always warm and dry, even after heavy rain. And it looks great in my garden too.

The shed kit is made of plastics and no worry about water or moisture. It was easy to assemble. My kids store their bicycles happily.

Great little shed. Easy to put together. Instruction good though had a bit of trouble with one section. Not sure about the longevity of the roof but only time will tell. Would much rather put one of these together than the traditional tin shed.

Keter Factor 6x6

Very happy with shed. Was pretty easy to make (took us almost 5 hours but could do it in 2 hours now that we know what we're doing). It's not exactly 6x6 which we found out the hard way when we made the base for it to sit on square. Needed to modify, so check measurements accurately first (which we didn't) :) A few parts were a bit warped from poor packaging but nothing needed replacing thankfully. I would have given it 5 stars if not for these parts. Trade-Tested were good to deal with. Delivery was a couple of days later than originally indicated but worked out fine in the end.
