Q:
Someone asked about the rope slapping against the pole in the wind. Simply pull the flag up to the top (Tight) then wrap the rope around the pole twice as you pull it tight and tie if off. No more slapping no mater how hard the wind blows. Hope this helps! Cheers.
A:
Very sensible advice!

Flagpole Sectional 7.6m

Much better than expected.

Flagpole 7.6m

I have brought 2 of these and think they are good. However, there is a manufacturing defect/oversight you need to address before erecting. There is a screw which holds the top cap (truck) and pully system onto the pole. You need to drill a hole into the pole for this screw to go into before erecting. If you don't do this, the cap will pop off in a high wind and is a disaster to fix when everything is erected. On the assembly instructions it shows the screw hole but both of the poles I purchased the hole was missing. This is obviously a manufacturing defect/oversight because the screw hole is shown on the assembly instructions. Perhaps the price is a bit expensive based on similar products on the market, but I was happy once I solved the screw hole issue. I would have put 5 stars but for the missing screw hole. Do not erect without addressing the screw hole issue.

Don't buy just one!

This is my second purchase of these flagpoles. I use them for amateur radio antennas. If 3 guy ropes are added, they can withstand Southland winds. Great value for more than one purpose. My neighbour might think I'm growing them, shhh...
