This isn’t just for warmth, either. With a massive 70cm diameter bowl and a beast of an 8mm thick carbon steel cooking plate, you’ve got a professional-grade searing station ready to go. The square base isn’t just for show—it’s a rugged log rack that keeps your fuel dry and right where you need it.

How to Season Your Cooking Plate:
Seasoning builds a layer of "functional armor" By bonding oil to the metal, you create a natural, non-stick surface that prevents rust.

Initial Clean: Scrub the plate with hot water and mild dish soap to remove the factory coating. Dry it immediately and thoroughly.

The First Heat: Warm the plate on medium-low, then crank it to high. Wait for the metal to change color (blueing), which opens the pores of the steel.

Oil & Smoke: Apply a tiny amount of high-smoke-point oil (like canola or grapeseed). Wipe it off until the plate looks almost dry—you want a microscopic layer, not a puddle.

Repeat: Let the oil smoke for 2–3 minutes. For a new plate, repeat the oiling and smoking process at least three times to build a deep black, non-stick patina.
