At 5 x 5m you’ll have more than enough room to cover a big deck, an outdoor dining area or even a decent portion of your backyard. Each sail is made from a heavy 280gsm marine grade fabric, proven to block out over 90% of those harmful UV rays.

These sails are super easy to put up and just as easy to move around if you need to do a bit of rearranging. With a 10 year warranty, you can be sure they’ll provide you and your friends sunny but safe good times all summer long.

Yes this can, it's shipped with a D ring installed in each corner, with mounting up to the customer. We do sell a Shade Sail Triangle Fixing Kit if you want the metal tensioners too

Is this waterproof?
A:
Yes to a large extent, if water is allowed to pool for long periods it may seep through. Make sure it's installed at an appropriate angle and kept taut to avoid this.

Yes, this is measured corner to corner, the edge is not straight. Generally they shouldn't stretch, but may require a re-tension once a year. It all depends on the kind of wind they are exposed to.

What kind of windy weather can they handle? Could I leave it up all year round and it will support itself?
A:
It's designed to be a permanent installation, so they're pretty sturdy. A lot will come down to how well it is installed eg. as tight a possible, to secure mounting points.

Do you have triangle shade enough for 3 car ports?
A:
The only triangular shade sail we have currently is 3.6 x 3.6 x 3.6m.

Our area is only about 3m by 3m. Is it possible to somehow make the bigger one fit?
A:
It would be difficult, our 3.6m model might be easier, especially as they need to be installed on an angle, which will eat up some of the length.

Does the shade sail come with the fixing kit? shackle? tensioners?
A:
These come with just the stainless D-ring in each corner, so you can decide on your fixing method. The fixing kit we sell is optional, as these will be fixed in a variety of ways depending on the user. You can see it and add to your cart under the 'Frequently Bought Together' section of this page.

So far so good!! Easy to put up. Big enough to fit two smaller cars (5x5) under it. High quality canvas. Waterproof. Will see how long they last in the harsh sun. These do have a 10yr warranty this is why I purchased these ones.

This shade sail is the waterproof version, a reasonably light version, the sewn loops onto the D anchors are very lightweight compared to my last one, so time will tell. But this was very cheap also compared to the last one, Looks nice.

Water pools no matter what

Really disappointed with this shade sail. No matter how tight we tension it or what angle we install it on, it still fills with water every time it rains. We end up having to go out and poke the middle to dump the water, otherwise it sags badly and puts a lot of strain on the fixings. We've tried repositioning and re-tensioning it several times and nothing fixes the issue, it still sags in the middle. Its turned into a constant job of taking it down, putting it back up, and emptying water out of it, which completely defeats the purpose. Total waste of money. I wish we had gone with a permeable shade sail instead. Read the bad reviews, they're right. I wish I'd listened. Would not recommend.

Decent value

Does what it says, decent quality & is waterproof, provided the water isn't allowed to pool on it. Needs to be installed with enough fall to let the water drain. Just bought my second one as the original has started to disintegrate in the sun after 4 years. Be nice if they lasted a bit longer, but that seems typical for this kind of shade cloth, still decent for the price & I haven't found anything better.

So glad to see these bigger sails back in stock. They are really great and handle rain and wind. Just make sure that when putting up you place one end on a a bit of an angle for rain to run off it. Very happy
