Assembly and operating instructions are muddled together so took some time to understand. Unit is fairly quiet but requires one branch to be inserted at a time so it takes some time to work through a pile of prunings. Jams are time-consuming to free because the blade unit is sealed.

Good Little Shredder

Shreds to a nice size mulch. Good bin size. Not the fastest shredder but is what is expected of this type of shredder. Potential improvement could be more substantial support for the switch lock at the rear of the bin.

I was surprised how much garden crap I chopped down to small pile. Very satisfying watch bougainvillea almost disappear.

I was concerned when the machine wouldn't start initially, but when I eased the cutter the machine started up. It has gone perfectly ever since.

Has limitations but still happy

Jammed up on me initially, as there was virtually no clearance for the blade when delivered. Had to remove the cover and reset gap to 20/1000th of an inch. Works well on dry crisp material, but not good on damp material or on wiry branches. Like the portability and quiet operation of the unit.

Solid and quiet

Overall pleased with this purchase. A solidly built unit which is quieter than expected. Shreds small branches easily. Tends to block if there is too much attached green leaf. A good shredder for the money.

Electric chipper

I love this chipper it has munched up all my monkey apple hedge 2.5cm branches. I probably did 10 fills of the bin by myself. The only time it blocked up was when it was full so pays to keep an eye down the chute when its getting full, I gave the bucket the odd tap to spread it evenly inside. The branches were about 3 months from being cut so were quite hard but it just ground them up, there were a lot of leaves as well. I am looking forward to doing a big pile of maple branches with no leaves. I am nearly 60 and find using and maneuvering this a breeze. I am so happy I bought it :)

Garden Shredder

I found it to be a bit heavy during the assembly stage. For the first "test" I used only 1-3cm old dried branches, compared to my older mulcher where I had to force the branches through. Love the auto feed. Got sufficient mulch to fill my Trade Tested cart and that was quickly tipped where it was required. Today I setup in a different location and quickly cleaned out one area and then started on the back area and cleaned that up. Another cart full , plus a plastic bag for my daughter to collect. Tea Tree cuttings jammed up the innards. I tried a long piece of fresh bamboo, the old one does a better job.

pleased I purchased this shredder

It was easy to set up and start using. Perfect for my garden and composting. I like the fact its not too heavy to move around really happy with the unit. It is pretty quiet which is great as we have neighbours with a young baby and I haven't worried about using it for as long as I needed to.

Very pleased with this purchase. The machine copes well with a range of woody materials and produces a decent mulch in little time. The blade needs adjusting to get the output that you want.

Absolutely stoked with my shredder :-) This machine is more than capable of dealing with the sticks and branches in my back yard. I just tip the shredded pieces back out onto my garden. Also delighted that this machine is small enough to be easily managed by this grandmother. Highly recommended to all!!! Thank you Trade Tested

This is a really great product. We bought it to help chip all the bamboo we have been cutting down. It doesn't chip but definitely shreds and is absolutely brilliant at the job. We have gotten rid of so much bamboo, both green and dry. Highly recommend this to everyone.

Have used it only 3 - 4 times since taking delivery but have no complaints, so far, so good! A few little idiosyncratic habits, essential to keep the litter well clear of the discharge chute or it starts to back up & will clog the works, but by and large I have no complaints.

Garden shredder silent 2600w

I brought this shredder a few weeks ago and found the the slower you went the quicker you got the shredding done . Sounds silly but not, by feeding the hopper to quickie is the how jamming can happen you need to let the cutting blade do there work before putting in more material. So overloading the hopper is the quickest way to jam the Machine. You need to adjust the cutting width (the gap between the plate and the cutting teeth) so on smaller material close the gap so the cutter can shredd it. The container needs to be checked at times to make sure that the shredded material is not building up under the cutting blades give the machine a shake to spread the material evenly in the container this stops the cutting blades from picking up material so stops jamming. Great Machine quiet and works well. slow is faster.

Your product is amazing - I've pruned all of the trees in our garden, made lovely mulch and spread it in the vegetable patch. The 2600W Shredder is very quiet and strong. I recommend it to every gardener. As is it is compact and light enough for even a woman to move it around on its big wheels.

For the money this is a good and safe shredder although it does not cut everything as small as I'd like it. It is very safe, almost annoyingly so as you can't check what and how the material is cut.

a bit disappointing. I should never have bought it. good for grandmothers, but not much more

adequate machine

This machine is fairly quiet and easy to use. It is however not a mulcher and barely a shredder! It has a problem chopping 50% of the material I have used it on. At best I would caller it a masticator! It is good on anything dry and brittle but anything green and bendy just ends up wrapped around the blades.

Works well on branches leaves clogged but I think my fault

Palagi Hauraki

Garden Shredder

The shredder is relatively silent and I have no problems hearing if someone approaches and speaks to me while I'm using it. It required some practice to become familiar with the operation but I was very soon feeding small branches into the machine and emptying the chopped material into my garden waste bin. I was cautious at first because it seemed to be a powerful and perhaps dangerous machine, but I was very soon familiar with it, comfortable that there was very little risk of injuring myself.
