Tradetested is doing their customers a disservice with this product description. from the reviews its clear the wrong people are buying it for the wrong reasons. they think a self-propelled mower is easier. its not, it is just different. it needs to be heavier to have sufficient traction to move forward- that defeats the reason weaker, older people buy it. if your doing a simple flat suburban lawn buy the lightest push mower you can find, not this. I use it on 11000m block to cut around my tree lines. if the designers saw what i do with this beast they would have stroke. I love it because its big and heavy and chews along. yes it clogs up but its not a 3.5k professional mower so just mow in the dry and take bites at the height- just have a little think about it. its amazing value. I love it and very happy with the particular work it does for me.

I am used to an old fashioned pull and go mower, and was a bit nervous to start. The enclosed instruction booklet was very basic and so i watched a couple of you-tube videos that covered set-up and starting. The extra tips were useful and increased my confidence. One big issue i had was that the dipstick for the oil is black so it is really hard to tell whether you have the right amount of oil in it or not. A light grey colour would be way easier to read. Third lawn mow and i am starting to really enjoy using the mower. I find the self-drive pace quite comfortable. I tend to move everything i need to before i start and to weed-eat around the fiddly bits first and then use the mower on the larger pieces of lawn, as it can be a little awkward to manoeuvre and cuts out when you take your hands off the lever. I like the large capacity of the bag - when full, it doesn't feel too much heavier when on flat lawn and using the self drive function, and saves multiple starting and stopping to empty it. Doesn't cut as low as my old mower but the cut lawn looks good, so maybe thats not a bad thing. The folding handles are really helpful for storage. Overall - very happy with the mower and surprised at just how much quicker it is to mow the lawns.

This appears to be quite well made and cuts grass good. the self propelled is just a little too quick for my wife but all good for me so I guess I will be cutting more lawn now. The one thing that I don't like is that the throttle has to be held by your hand all the time otherwise when released this stops the motor. A fixed throttle would be much better and make it easier to use especially around trees and shrubs.

Side shoot clogs very easily. Side shoot attachment falls off easily, scuffs the grounds/taller grass in lower settings and dislodges. Lowest setting is worthless. Cable lasted less than a year. Rear plastic shoot plug shattered on stone. Plastic hub caps on wheels fell off. Handle bent. Self drive is a lot slower than the pace of a manual push mower so lawns take longer despite being a relatively wide deck. Mower tray metal is too thin, bends out of shape on impact with stones smaller than a walnut.

I have only used it twice since it got into the country so far! Was simple to put together out of box,basically put handle on and fill with supplied oil,fill with petrol,and install two cables,easy as! I especially purchased this mower for its mulching capability and very impressed with the ease of operation. Can be a wee bit quick off the mark because of the self propelled function but you get used to it when you get to know it. Starts,cuts,mulches excellently,Mrs is happy and that all that counts in the end. I cannot fault it yet All in all I am very impressed not only with the mower but with Tradetested in general,they have awesome knowledgeable eager to please staff who are beyond helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you leave the store with a smile. I would thoroughly recommend this mower and staff at Tradetested. You guys and girls rock! Keep up the good work!
