The Greenworks 40V 2-in-1 dethatcher and scarifier is perfect for revitalising & reviving the most tired and spongiest of lawns.
Designed for medium yards, this unit allows you to easily remove thatch and aerate your soil, at the same time as helping encourage a healthy new growth.
Use the sprung de-thatcher attachment to remove thatch, dead grass and other debris to prepare your lawn for new growth. This might be enough depending on the state of your lawn or, switch to the heavier scarifier attachment to continue this process while adding a scouring action to aerate the soil to promote growth. The grooves created are also ideal for overseeding, being ideal spots for the new seed to germinate.
Thanks to its brushless motor it dramatically reduces vibrations and requires minimal maintenance.
With a 5 position adjustable height, this unit allows for a working depth range of -12cm to +5cm with the use of one lever.
The easy-fold system allows you to fold up & store or transport with ease - no more bulky gear taking up room in the shed!
Powered by the included interchangeable G-MAX 40V Lithium-ion battery system which delivers longer run time, higher performance and greater output on all Greenworks 40V tools.
Greenworks Brushless Series is an innovative solution for your garden tasks that rivals petrol-powered tools. Combined with the 40V G-MAX battery, the Brushless Series features a powerful brushless motor that improves the battery efficiency, delivers more power for greater performance, produces less noise and vibration, and extends the life of the motor for exceptional durability.
Traditional brushed motors tend to wear down over time, reducing efficiency and power. With a brushless motor, you can expect the same performance as the day you purchased it. The gear reduction design of the brushless motor also delivers greater torque.

Purchased this machine recently, I have to say I am impressed with the job it does. Was skeptical of the fact that it only had 2ah battery but for the small lawn I have it was fine. Bought my daughter the mower strimmer and blower package so I have access to 4ah battery's if required.
Used this spring to power rake my lawn. Was surprised at how much detritus it brought up. Easy to use with the batteries, loved not having to drag a power cord around. A second battery is really a must so one can be charging while you use the other battery. Took a full charge of 2x 4A/H batteries to do my approx 500sqm of lawn
it works very well
New to this seller, this brand and this type of gadget, I'm so far very pleased with the outcomes. Assembly wasn't difficult and battery use and charging was all familiar to me. The bladed reel seems very effective and does a good job of slicing up the above-ground root mat in my lawn. The easy-to-change dethatcher reel pulls out even more waste material. I'm not an expert so am feeling my way somewhat. Cutting height and so on is a bit trial and error. The catcher works but ... the sheer quantity of waste material can choke the reels and that may drain the battery. I suspect for a big or catch-up job it may be best use a rake instead of the catcher. Overall I'm very pleased , and I'm now able to use a rotary mower on the parts I've dethatched. My main problem is the disposal of all that thatch! PS. I'm in my eighties - it's never too late to have a go at something new.
Awesome little machine. Finally got that done and lawn is now looking much healthier and new grass up. All very easy to handle on my own.
