Excellent mower

Bought this as an upgrade to my 36v mower and have not been disappointed. Assembly was easy and the power of this unit is seriously impressive. Time will tell if it passes the reliability test, but construction seems quite solid. Highly recommended thus far.

Great Mower

Bought this to do the edges and areas that cant be reached by the ride on on a steep block. Love the mower as it has plenty of power and increases blade speed automatically when the grass gets thicker. As I am not doing the whole yard with it I only use 1/4 of the battery power in one sitting. I then use the same battery in the blower and use that over the whole yard.

Glad we bought this mower

We purchased this as we were moving homes and the new property has a big lawn., some of it sloping . Also I have a health limitation on what I can do so the self propelled function was a necessity. I love the mower , no petrol to store or engine to tune , the stand up storage feature is great , it does a pretty good job mowing , the mulching feature is great , my only negative that you have to get used to is after disengaging the self propelled function the wheels lock until you move it forward a bit , so only 4 stars but its a goody

Best mower to buy

Just love my new lawnmower, takes me 3/4 of an hour to mow the lawns, so much easier being self-propelled.

Love electric, but mower has some serious cons

Upgraded from a 4-stroke self propelled Honda mower to this one. Love that it is electric, so much less noise starts with the push of a button instead of having to crank it. It also has plenty of power. In my thick grass i barely get to stall it (my old Honda did much worse) ... and that's about all the good things i can say about it. The cons of this mower are that it only has one speed setting for the self propelling(no variable speed control like my old one) ... which makes turning around sharp corners quite a bit of a challenge ... this problem is even compounded by the fact that the wheels get locked when in self-propelled mode and you need to push the mower a meter forward to unlock them again. It's getting a bit better (finding the right timing when the disable the auto-drive helps), but I still find myself fighting&struggling with that thing constantly to get it to go where i want. It's quite power hungry, thankfully 2 of those 80v/5ah batteries just about last me through my large garden. Charging the batteries is slow, so make sure you have enough batteries to last you cutting the whole garden or be prepared to to have a few hours of break between mowing sessions. There's also various other things with this mower that could be improved on (cutting height lever sticks out, so it catches on when cutting along the fence, same with the handle of the mower, really should be smaller than the deck width really). So yes, in short ... love electric, my next mower will be electric again ... but no, probably not a greenworks. It's a pity really, the mower does a good job, but a tiny bit more engineering and thought would have made this mower fantastic, but as it is i can't recommend it.

Works well. Fast delivery. Substantially built. Mulcher very useful.

Alright.

Took me 2 months pull the trigger on this mower after endless nights comparing different mowers from electric/gas and let me tell you i took 2 months to long. I was super skeptical if this mower would have the power to get through my new 900 m2 property that was over grown for about 3 months. To my surprise it was able to mow the whole section down to the 3rd height setting without a single issue and it had 1 bar left on the battery even while i was using the self propelled setting. I also got the 80v Blower/Trimmer and with just two 80v batteries i am able to mow, trim and blower the whole section with battery remaining. I will never go back to gas after seeing what these things can do.

Favourite mower

Powerful, quiet, easy to use, fun, best mower we've owned, so glad we bought it, wife wants to mow now. Couldn't be happier.

Light, very quiet, well engineered

Just took delivery of the machine this morning. Unpacked and assembled in a few minutes, charged the 2 x 80V batteries then... a few test runs on the front lawn. First impressions only here today. Self-propelled mechanism: Easy to use, but I have a generously-sized property that contains a number of tricky obstacles. My hope was that it would be possible to use the mower with its 'self-propelling' disengaged. You CAN and it is 'light' to use. Engagement/disengagement is simply a different position for one of the hand levers. First BIG plus (for me). Noise level: Machine label advises 92 dBa (from memory), but mine seems to be running at a lower volume. I still will wear them, but you just don't feel the necessity of grabing hearing protectors like I do when I pull the cord on my old gas-burning Rover. Battery: It might be a bit of a handful for a slightly-built person to handle, but it slots in and out of the machine with ease. Have not had the chance to measure how long it will run the mower for. Still, you have a second battery while the first one is being recharged. ANOTHER PLUS. Cut quality: Adeqaute, but not as good as my Greenworks Pro zero-turn, the gold standard in terms of cut quality. To be fair, my grass was still a little damp during the test runs, so 'cut quality' will likely improve when it dries right off. I did some research before I purchased this machine. NO CONTEST with this machine's price. Thanks Trade Tested. 'Its going straight to the pool room'.
