a: Not really, a better option is cutting as low as possible with hedge shears.

Great sharp push pull action saw makes light work of pruning, love the lock feature so I can keep it with me folded safely and compact, Strong sturdy quality saw worth paying the extra for it - will outlast cheaper brands.

Great dual cutting blade speeds up processing wood. Makes short work of pruning back trees and medium sized branches. These saws last years and stay sharp. Highly recommended and a great price through Trade Tested.

I really like this pruning saw. It's very portable and saws effectively. The blade is quite short though so sawing a large log would prove difficult, but smaller logs work fine.

I bought this saw off Trade Tested via Trademe several weeks ago now. I have used it to cut green & dry branches up to 20cm diameter no problems. It is light, it locks open & closed & most importantly it cuts very well. I am very happy with this saw!
