Q:
Please describe how the panels are fixed/held in place to the frame.
A:
The framing has channels that the panels side into.

Q:
The instructions seem to indicate the greenhouse is assembled separately from the base. Should it be assembled separately then lifted on?
A:
The assembly steps for this manual are not in order if you want to mount the greenhouse to the metal frame. We recommend that you assemble the base first and then assemble the greenhouse on top of it, rather than assemble it separately and lift it on.

Q:
What wind speed are they rated for? will they be okay in CHCH or wellington?
A:
They do not have a specific wind rating. They are a very sturdy design but for higher wind speed areas we recommend installing these greenhouses in locations where they have some shelter from the wind. There are options to increase its bracing too, check out our options for 'ground anchor kits'. For further advice on these options please feel free to contact our knowledgable sales staff on 0800 800 880 option 1.

Q:
ow are these fixed to the ground if at all . Ground anchors ?? the weight alone would not be enough to hold them down in a stiff breeze .
A:
This has a metal frame with legs that go into the ground and the greenhouse is bolted down to this. Some of our customers have bolted the greenhouse down to a deck/timber frame. If you are in a very windy area ground anchors are great too and we have the "Multipurpose Ground Anchor Kit Heavy Duty" on our site.

Q:
If this is assembled on a level base, do the gutters have some fall to allow water to drain, or should the whole thing be assembled on a mild gradient?
A:
The gutters do not have any fall built-in, If you are in an area that gets a lot of rain it can help to assemble this on a slight gradient.

Q:
What is the wind resistance? Can it be assembled on a fixed base?
A:
These aren't tested for a specific wind rating, however as long as it is built correctly then it's generally fine, especially if you add some silicon sealer while installing the panels. They aren't however designed for high wind zones. Yes they can be fixed to a base , we've had customers secure them to concrete and wood bases, there are pre-drilled holes in the metal base.

Q:
Is this OK in coastal environments?
A:
Yes they are.

Greenhouse

This is an awesome greenhouse. The instructions however are not all that clear.

8ff x 14ft Greenhouse

After a small challenge by my husband to get my Greenhouse constructed (typical man, please read the instructions carefully while under construction), I am very happy with my Greenhouse. I would not want it to be any smaller as this size is perfect fir the back yard garden. It provides space for growing and germinating and even leaves a little room for potting plants up on a cold wet day. Happy to recommend.

Great Greenhouse

Good value for money. Take your time and thoroughly follow instructions double checking everything. It will test your relationship if you build it with partner or family.

Evergreen Greenhouse

A little fiddly to assemble & you need to study closely some of the pictorial instructions, but overall a great product.

Green house

We bought one and apart from a slight build puzzle, the fram is good but should be mounted on a good timber ring frame. The polycarbonate twin flute did not last, it just failed under UV. I am not sure it was that good to start with. For the money I would buy the tunnel houses at about a third the price. we had both.

Great product (once it's built)

Absolutely love our greenhouse once it was built. The building process was quite tedious with lack of clear instructions, to echo a lot of the other reviews, start with the foundation, unlike the instructions suggest. Overall very sturdy once it is built and great quality.

Delighted with this Greenhouse

Super speedy service - big tick! A few things that made this possible for us - experienced builder + great hey you to assist. Instructions were as other say terrible (I'm advised that Chinese often read the book backwards which would explain why the base is on last page), but logical thinking and taking time paid off. It did take 2 full days to get it built, and we have now just finished off the inside ready for spring planting. We are super happy with outcome - but couldn't have done it without professional help.

More difficult than I thought to put up!! But once up its great!!

Instructions are interesting but once you realise that every instruction needs to be done in sequence things are easier!! Suggest 3 people at the start. Took a bit longer than stated and we have put it on a solid base. It had its first test of the Canterbury norwesters yesterday and came through with flying colours!!

This was not strong enough to stand the canterbury winds, I got the 6mm thinking it would but No it needs a very sheltered position. Very disappointing.

Reply from Trade Tested These units are a very sturdy design but for higher wind speed areas we recommend installing these greenhouses in locations where they have some shelter from the wind. It is also recommended to increase the bracing of the unit and add silicone to keep the panels in place.
Greenhouse review

no latch on doors. C sections need to be further secured to top (screwed not clipped.) C section needs more anchoring to ground. the instructions are not clear until you have put it together. i put one of the slde sections upside down and only found the issue when loading the spouting. Had to drill 10mm opening in the bracing to get some Bolts in.
