Product overview

Powerful, tough and simple, this 6500W steel frame generator is a great option for running all the essentials like fridges during a power outage, keeping the lights on wherever you are or powering up all the tools you need to get the job done

The traditional steel frame design means it can handle life in the back of the ute or way down the back paddock, while the while the convenient push-to-reset circuit breaker and a low oil shut-off sensor ensure safe operation. It also features voltage overload protection to prevent overloads and keep your valuable equipment safe from voltage spikes, plus a voltmeter allows you to monitor power output at a glance

Humming away at 75% load you’ll get a solid 10 hours of run time from the 25L fuel tank and reliable 439cc engine, which should be plenty to see you through a power cut or a solid day’s work.

If you’re after a grunty, no-fuss generator then look no further. Order yours today.

Will this self contained cabin lights / /fridge and stove And how noisey and is that blue cap for a caravan type adapter
Yes most likely, but you're going to need to estimate your wattage draw by looking at specs of your appliances. Also remember the start up draw on a fridge is generally approx 3x it's quoted running watts - there a lots of good power needs calculators online. A traditional open frame generator like this won't be the quietest, as per the specs in the description this is quoted at 72db @ 7m @75% load. Yes the blue cap is a 32A plug.

hi, does the unit come with oil in it? and how do people usually move it around as I see it has no wheels? cheers
No these are shipped without oil. These have no wheels, the frame makes them pretty simple for 2 people to lift onto a trailer or ute etc if it needs to be moved.

Whats the difference between the yellow 6500w generator and the red generator 6500w ,besides the electric start?
No much besides the wheel kit, as you say the main difference is the electric stating with remote.

Is this powerful enough to run a trailer fridge marquee lights and a Bain Marie for a wedding?
Potentially, you need to add up the overall (and start up) draw in Watts for your particular appliances. Bear in mind the start up power draw of some appliances can be double their running power requirement. There are lots of tools online for calculating your requirements.

Very pleased

All as described, went together well and pleased it can work my 3hp electric motor on my car hoist. It will not be used a lot except for the hoist and any emergency. So far quite happy with it. Thanks

Newman 6500

These gensets are straightforward and good bang for buck, we have used one for power outages running our business operations and large walkin chillers for approx 2yrs, we have outages about four times a year... we have just brought 3 more to help run approx 2000m2 of hydroponic greenhouses. We will get more no doubt.

Very easy to assemble. Followed start up procedures and click brooooom. Fired up first pop. Sparky did wiring to our switch board and now it can power our entire house.

Great Unit

The generator was easy to assemble the wheels / feet etc with great instructions. Started first time and quieter than I thought. You will need to get a wire and a stake for an earth strap according to the manual but this was only a low cost part for the copper wire from an electrical supply shop and an old farm electric fencing standard. Definitely value for money for a powerful home generator.

As good as expected!

After cyclone Gabriel we were without power for 5 days. Rather than buy a small generator for just the freezer I found this Newman 6500w model for the same price. With the 32amp outlet I can power the whole house. I have only test run it for only 5 mins so far but it does power the house without issues. With the remote start it has the ability to be on standby permanently. Great value for money!

Plenty of reserve power for those power outages during storms and easily manoeuvred for using power tools away from the house. Quiet enough but bear in mind it has to be run with fresh air for cooling and exhaust removal.

Newman generator 6500W

A good product well made key start is great, could be a little quieter apart from that good machine.

Great purchase, happy family.

During cyclone Gabby earlier this year we lost all power and communication to the outside world for a week. We realised we needed an alternative source of power in emergencies. We read the rewiews of all sorts of generators and listened to a close friend, who is a qualified electrician and ordered the Newman 6500. Our friend has wired it into our house ready for the next power blackout. 2 weeks after it was wired in, Vector needed to cut our power for the day to do maintenance in the area, so we tested the generator for 5 hours. It stared first time and worked perfectly. My friend is so impressed he's buying one for his farm.
