This compact rain gauge is ideal for any weather enthusiast. Be prepared for any weather with this handy unit which measures rainfall, indoor temperature and outdoor temperature.

This wireless unit displays a wide range of weather measurements, date and time on an easy to read LCD screen. The unit allows you to switch between Celcius and Farenheit, and inches and centimetres for rainfall. The display unit has up to 100m wireless connectivity to the rain gauge making it easy to perch or hang the display where it suits you inside.

The rain gauge is easy to mount outside, using the screws included, is self-emptying and has 24 months battery life meaning you can set and forget.

Hello, I know this sounds a bit silly but how does the device actually ascertain how much rain has fallen?
A:
There is a remote sensor unit that fills with water (self emptying) to measure rainfall.

No that is not a feature of this weather station

If it is in prolonged direct sunlight it can read upto 3-4 degrees higher on hotter days.

Q:
I'm looking for something that will record & store data for a period of time (months) at a holiday house (rainfall records would be useful as the location is on tank water). Would this be suitable?
A:
This shows up to 1 month data, so you might be better off with the larger Professional Wifi Weather Centre. The larger model is cloud based, so you will need to have an active wifi connection for it to upload the data.

How far apart can the indoor and outdoor units be fixed and how do they communicate
A:
The display unit will work within a range of ~50m, and it uses low power radio waves to communicate.

Q:
Id like a weather guage that records the daily temps over the long term abd can chart it. Does this do that?
A:
No this model doesn't. If you want to chart data for more than a 24 hour period, you'll need to look at the PROFESSIONAL WIFI COLOUR WEATHER CENTRE. Feel free to give our sales team a call to talk through features.
