q: can you use salt instead of chlorine type chemicals
a: This is not designed to be, you can obviously modify anything if you know what you are doing, however it's not something we can provide guidance on.

q: Hi, how long does it take to heat up?
a: It heats at approx 2 degrees per hour.

q: How comfortable are they to sit in? Looks like they have no seating inside, so would everyones legs be touching and crossed over each other? cheers.
a: The bottom is inflated so that provides padding, they don't have moulded seats like a permanent spa, so prepare to get cozy (or get one each)!

q: Can this spa be used during the winter? Can it sit on lawn?
a: Yes to both!

q: Is the material it is made out of easy for animals such as cats to put holes in?
a: It's tough fabric, so very unlikely unless you have a real tiger.... your cat sounds like a handful!

q: Does Tradetested offer a warranty ? Or only best ways?
a: This is covered by the Bestway Warranty.

q: What chemicals are used to keep water clean in this type of spa please?
a: This uses the same chemicals that an in-ground spa would use in terms of spa chlorine and ph levels.

q: Is that correct that it costs approx $60 per week to run as per one of the reviews?
a: It's a little hard to say, we're not sure the temp, how often they use etc, but probably a fair representation.

q: I see someone has mentioned in your reviews that it costs about $60.00 per week to run. This seems very high, would that be correct do you think. ?
a: This is on the high side, but really it depends on the time of year (temperature differential affects how hard it works to maintain temp).

q: What sort of electricity ie is it plug in to a Electrical point or do you have to wire in with a Electrician? Does it need anything underneath it ie a concrete pad or can it go straight on grass or a Deck?
a: Yes you plug it in using a suitable outdoor plug. A firm flat surface is all that is required.

q: Does this spa come in different colours?
a: This is the only colour.

q: Can this be used with the jets running but not heated so as to use in the summer?
a: Yes you can.

q: How strong is this spa when used most days as a way of relaxing after a 12 hour night shift and easing aches and pains.
a: They are well made and backed by manufacturer warranty (Bestway provide a 12 month warranty on the pump and 6 months on the cover and liner. These can be extended by 6 months when you register your warranty with Bestway within 28 days of purchase.) But bear in mind that it is designed as a temporary, portable solution, so it's always going to be less durable than a traditional spa. Maintenance is important and location will have an effect. Essentially it's PVC filled with air, so constant extended use that included prolonged exposure to hot sun or very cold temps over time can lead the material to crack, degrade and generally wear out faster.

Retiree Northland

Such a great purchase for us!

Thought about buying a solid spa but with price tags if over $6k it wasn't worth it for two retirees! This was a fantastic solution for us, pretty easy to unpack and set up, larger than we thought with plenty of room. Water level is great and able to adjust it to suit. Took a bit to work out the filter instructions and how to operate it. Suggest buyers watch videos on YouTube first to save time

Great spa for price

A great spa for the price. Only a couple of downsides. First spa dispenser is to small for commonly available. Secondly Cost to run is about $60 per week. Thirdly the bubbles don't target your back like a regular spa. Apart from those minor issues a great spa.
