I am wanting to paint this chair red, would I need to sand it back or can I paint straight over it?
It would be best to give this a light sand prior to painting. For the best result you should use an undercoat too, have a chat to your local paint store for the best products for your job.

Difficult assembly

Frustrating assembly process. Having provided a three page outline including 7 photographs in the early stages of the saga it’s disappointing that I ultimately had to resort to a third party to obtain any meaningful help. The issues were a bowed component and a lack of precision. Discrepancies were apparently not insurmountable but were enough to make the assembly difficult. Apparently it was necessary to resort to clamps etc. in order for an experienced third person to complete the job. On the plus side, the design and comfort of the chairs is good.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Adirondack Chairs

These chairs hark back to a bygone era. They are a timeless design that has finished off our new patio beautifully. Easy to assemble and sturdy, I expect they will last for years. Sitting in one as I write, might have a nap.

Cape Cod Adirondack Chair

Really good chair. Large and comfortable. However, some of the screw holes did not line up when assembling but we were easily able to remedy.

Cape Cod Adirondack Chair

Overall the chair is sturdy and Im happy. I ordered 6 chairs, the first 2 had visible small dents all the way through the paint into the timber both in the same place so must be a manufacture issue which I need to fill and repaint. Some chairs the paint has long cracks so I would rate the paint as a quick thin budget paint job. I suspect the chairs will need a re paint at some point. Overall I would probably recommend to buy.
