Q:
Hi, Can i get this up to 500 degrees Celsius to cook an authentic napolitan pizza? does it have a max temp?
A:
Heat does depend on your timber and a few factors, but this should easily get up to around 300-450C. This doesn't have a rated max temp, but the steel shouldn't be heated to over 600C as this can start to affect the colour and finish.

Q:
Does the top and sides and or the back have insulation inside the oven? (The internal dimensions compared to the external dimensions suggest it is not just a stainless shell over the top of the brick base inside). Thanks.
A:
Yes it's double-walled stainless steel with a ceramic-fibre insulation inside.

Q:
How many pizzas does this cook at a time and also how long does it take to cook a pizza? Thx.
A:
It depends how big your pizza is and how you like it done! But you can comfortably do one 30cm pizza, which will take a couple of minutes. There are heaps of great guides online to help you get the pizza done just how you like it.

Hard to keep temp and burns bases

Heats up real quick but temp drops just as quick. Always have to be extra careful as the bases burn quickly and the topping aren’t cooked. Doesn’t seem to be a happy medium. A bit disappointed to be honest for the money we paid. We build our last pizza oven and it was amazing so this was a bit of a letdown. Happy if someone can share any tricks for perfect pizza cooking.

Pizza Oven Wood Fired

Great pizza oven, no problem cooking pizza directly on the fire base stones. Light the fire at the front of the oven and push to one side once established, continue to feed small amounts of wood every now and then. Wood choice can lift your cooking, fruit tree wood seems to be best. You can cook all manner of things, so far cooked ; pizza, leg of lamb, fillet steak, baked potatoes, halved zucchini etc.

Great value

We have used it a few times now and are pretty pleased for the price, its well built and seems to retain the heat reasonably well. Finding its best cooking temperature is obviously key, but also trial an error which was expected really. The first time I got it way too hot and it discoloured the steel a little on the face and chimney, still works perfectly, but in hindsight I guess that was bound to happen eventually anyway considering the temperature, flame an smoke etc involved. I love how it can just be basically left outside due to the stainless, yet the wheels are very handy for moving it around fairly easily when required. Overall, we are very happy, cant go wrong with some delicious homemade pizza!

Pizza oven

After a few attempts we are now mastering the art of woodfired pizza, just as Jamie Oliver said "so much better than any pizza you will get from a cardboard box "!trial & error getting the right temp but we find 250C is the perfect temp for cooking thin based pizza with homemade dough. A pizza stone inside the oven was also a gamechanger as we no longer get burnt pizza on the bottoms before the toppings are cooked. 100% recommend this product & at the rate we are now eating pizza it will pay for itself in no time.

Highly Recommend

We love this product. Looks good on the deck and puts out a lot of heat. Pizza's turned out amazingly well considering it was out first time at this and kept us warm on a cold night. Very happy with the quality also.

Longhorn Pizza Oven

We love our new Pizza Oven - its quick to reach temp and uses minimal wood (our last oven ate wood it and took a couple of hours to reach temp). The cooking area is a good size and the pizza is delicious! The brick on the base were a bit uneven, but we just lifted them out, swept away the brick chips that were underneath and placed them back - resulting in a nice flat cooking surface. We are very happy with this product.

Money well spent

Best money I’ve spent in ages. The family all make and eat their own pizzas made fresh at home. Even make our own doe.
