Infrared thermometers provide non-contact temperature measurements for a wide variety of uses such as; food preparation, safety and fire inspectors, plastic molding, asphalt, marine and screen printing, measure ink and dryer temperature, diesel and fleet maintenance.

Can this be used to measure liquid? Thanks
A:
Yes, Infrared thermometers can measure water. However, it is worth noting that they are only able to measure the surface temperature rather than the temperature of the liquid itself.

Can this be used to measure heat coming out of a ceiling air conditioning & heating grill
A:
This will not measure the temperature of airflow. As it only reads the temperature of the surface it is being aimed at, but you can use this to find hot or cool spots on the wall

Is this instrument able to accurately measure a person’s temperature, for example to tell if a child has a ‘temperature’ ?
A:
It's not a medical device so we wouldn't recommend it to be used for humans.

+/- 3 degrees Celsius at -50 to 20 degrees Celsius, +/- 2 degrees Celsius at 20 to 500 degrees Celsius.

Can I use this to check the temperature of my underfloor heating lines?

This may not be the ideal tool for this. You may see some variation in temperature between where your underground heating is and where it is not, as it gives the temperature of the surface it is being aimed at and isn't penetrating
