Wine Barrel Half Liner Kit

Great kit and easy to use but a couple of things to consider. You need a big drill or drill several holes to make the 3cm hole needed for the drains. The drains are very long so without the feet, they are way too long. My wine barrel only has a plywood bottom which is not very thick so feet are essential! The drains were still a bit too long but it seemed to work ok. Also, it would be great if the mesh to cover the drains was sticky to keep it in place as it moves if you start pouring the soil in. Other than that, it's a great kit and comes with good instructions.

I wish I'd come across this brilliant idea sooner! Unfortunately, my barrel fell apart (due to not having a liner) before I could fit it. I will definitely use it next time :)

Fitted perfect and was easy

The liner fitted the half barrel well and the instructions for fitting it were clear and easy to follow. A great product.

These fit the half barrels perfectly.

While I was happy with the product for a planter, it doesn’t quite work for a pond. I recommend using duct tape to cover the perforations at the top. In spite of my best efforts, the liner leaks and I have water between the liner & the barrel which I really did not want since I oiled the barrel to weatherproof it. I don’t know of any other product for the job available in NZ
