I am not too sure about the rain gauge as the numbers do not match my stand alone rain gauge . Inside and outside temps are good.

As you can see from the accompanying photo the T.T raingauge is mounted on a fence. The grey steel bracket faces due north. I have quite a deal of experience with electronic raingauges and weather stations, and all off them (straight out of the box) give poor outside air temperatures, when exposed to direct sunlight. Naturally, in order to give accurate rain readings, when they are not shielded from the sun, the collector heats up, and during summertime, can give readings between 5 and 10 degrees higher than true air temperature readings. The shield I made to screen the gauge from direct sunshine is pretty simple but it works! Perhaps during summertime the screen may have to be extended, but that will be easily done. I have checked the accuracy of the readout using a mercury-in-glass thermometer, and it is correct to plus or minus half a degree Celcius. That will be good enough for me.

This weather station is good value for $ will buy again

Was very easy to set up but I do find the outdoor one on the post more accurate with the rain gauge. Temperature indoors make me wonder as when it reads 23 I am freezing.

Gave to husband for Christmas and he really likes it but needs more rain to test it.
