Product overview

Chew through large amounts of garden waste quickly and easily with this powerful, mobile wood chipper from Hyundai.

Built to make chipping & mulching easy, the workhorse 420cc 4-stroke motor powers a rotating blade and anvil mechanism, that not only rips through your garden waste but gives this chipper a self-feeding action for maximum work with minimum effort. This model features electric starting for even simpler operation - just fuel up and turn the key.

Munch through branches up to 70-100mm in diameter depending on type and hardness of the wood, keeping in mind that dry hardwoods such as manuka and mapou will need to be significantly smaller to chip effectively.

Built tough with all steel construction, this is a heavy-duty machine, but is easy to manoeuvre with its twin hopper handles, large diameter, extra wide pneumatic tyres. It’s also a great option for larger properties thanks to the included 50mm tow bar mount (off-road use only), so you can take it to where the work is. The hopper is hinged for easy blockage clearance, while the extended, adjustable discharge chute is especially handy for feeding directly onto a trailer, ute deck or wheelbarrow.

The precision HSS blades and hardened steel anvil cut clean and fast, while the twin v-belt drive design gives smooth running, better shock load protection and simple servicing.

Suitable for larger properties and frequent use, this machine is capable of chipping and shredding large quantities of wood and branches into easily handled chippings quickly and effortlessly.

Order today and take the effort out of maintaining your property.

Q:
Hi, seems a fantastic chipper, will it do Yakka branches ok, thank you
A:
Yes this is a fantastic wood chipper. You do however need to be careful with the fibrous plants like Yakka and and vines, it will handle cutting them but it pays to check regularly that there are no blockages accumulating

What a unit

This chipper is a beast. I've put maybe 15 hours on it with no fault, starts first time every time. I size up my branches into lengths before I chip so all I have to do is feed them in. Generally I don't bother chipping over 75 mm as I want to preserve the machine but it can def go to 100 mm. As usual you are best to chip while the wood is green, but dry old Totara has no issue.

Great product at great price. Runs well and chips everything it says it will.

15HP Wood Chipper

Makes cleaning up after dropping a tree much easier, definitely get the 15HP over the 7HP as the bigger one even struggles sometimes

Awesome bit of kit.

Easy to assemble, high quality chipper. Started instantly and chews through my tree pruning with no effort, if you have regular work to do on your section this would be a great addition to your tool shed. Highly recommend.

Great Chipper

Had several large gum trees blown over during a recent storm and tossed up whether or not to hire or buy a chipper. So glad I decided to buy this one from Trade Tested. This is a very well constructed and solid unit and it arrived in a solid wooden crate.Easy to assemble albeit the motor and chipper drum are very heavy so you may need some help with this section. No missing parts every bolt, washer and nylock nut was there. Toolbox, maintenance tool kit and basic PPE included, took 2-3 hours by myself to put together and once fuelled up, engine oil added ( does not ship with oil so don't forget to add oil) , battery connected I followed the simple starting instructions and it started on the second engine revolution and ran smoothly. The 15hp motor has plenty of power and seems to be fuel efficient. Its done approximately 10 hours of solid chipping and has not missed a beat. I have stalled it twice but I put this down to operator error. Very easy to clear a blockage post stalling. Im chipping up to 60mm diameter gum and 60mm manuka as anything bigger Ill use for firewood. Some of the branches have been 4-5 meters long and the engine has no problem with power when chipping these.by the time I have finished this job it will have paid for itself vs hiring. Chipping is also great fun :) I do recommend you take a good look at this one if your in the market for well priced & very capable chipper.

good bad and the ugly

Performs really well dose block up if you get to greedy feeding big bits of bushy material bigger branches need assistance, but I've chipped Stuff well over 100 mm holding it feeding it holding it feeding it and it's worked well spark plug was no good since replaced it and goes well but as the plug is starting to fail at half burns of fuel and all the carbon builds up in the air filter (as its right next to the exhaust)further choking it and at that stage it uses a lot of fuel but if you take care when feeding and maybe if you're planning on doing hard heavy work with it changing the spark plug at the first run in period which is from memory 10 hours of operation I change the oil every 25 hours and it has worked real well only the other issue I had is the bolts at the back of the key start absolutely rattle out so at the moment I found some Random bolts and put them back together but that's. also you plan on leaving it outside or covering with a tarp etc it sometimes water leaks into the fuel tank. but if you're new and don't understand it or don't really know how to use a wood chipper and you've only watched a few videos you probably will have problems which is probably what some of these people writing reviews are complaining about

Get the job done

Got this chipper after massive winds left farm trees devastated. It dealt with everything that wasnt worth chainsawing for firewood. Very satisfying to see big branches sucked in and chips flying out. Perfect base for compost and mulch. Plenty of power for fresh branches up to 100mm. Amazing fast clean up. Love it.

Great little machine

Its a 2 person job to put it together and also I recommend someone walk with the machine when towing on hills or slopes just to keep it steady. The wife had no problem using it I broke the branches down to smaller sections and she fed it into the chipper. Overall really impressed with its ability to chip and shred. I would not recommend putting large clumps into the machine ie where 3 branches go into one. I put those aside but apart from that awesome machine. Jim and Lisa
