q: I couldnt see a measurement for the wisth of this arch, just the height. Please can you tell me the width, thanks.
a: It's 140cm.

q: How is the Archway fixed into the ground? Are the 2 sides simply pushed into the soil, like stakes? Thanks for your help
a: There are quite a few options, it depends where you want to put it really. You could push it into the ground, use a peg and tie down system, concrete it in, drill and bolt it to wood etc.

q: Just wondering if these are made in NZ or if they are imported first, thanks
a: These are made in China.

q: Will this rust over time?
a: Yes it will eventually gain some patina.

q: Will this withstand a grapevine?
a: Yes this will be fine.

q: Hiya, is this strong enough to hold up a woody climber? Is there anything I should know about weight restrictions?
a: Yes this will be fine.

q: Hi, I'm hoping to use this as a wedding arch. I'm a celebrant and would need to assemble and dis-assemble this quite frequently. Would this be easy to do? and would this still be structually sound. I will be setting the legs into wood so not to damage floors and enable it to have flat feet.
a: Yes this should work great.

q: Hello, as I have limited space do you have one of these arches 100 to 120cms max. in width. Thanks. Cheers Denis
a: The GARDEN ARCH STEEL EDWARDIAN model is 114cm wide, the rest are all above 120cm.

q: Where this is to be placed it will catch both the Easterly and Southerlies. Provided it is secured into the ground by additional means do you think the ‘joints’ at where the parts connect to each other are strong enough to withstand such winds?
a: Yes the joins should be fine.

q: How many bits does it come in?
a: This comes in 4 pieces.

Works well for vege garden

Bought the garden arch to trial runner beans instead of making our usual teepee. Beans are going well and should make for easy picking. A little bit lighter than we thought it would be. We have staked it well into the ground with large tent pegs, may move it next year so didn't want to concrete it in.

Great buying

Bought this for my elderly neighbour for her climbing rose. She was stoked. Easy to assemble, has stood up to the gale winds we’ve been having. Could do with something to secure the feet on the ground - probably just a cut of wood with some holes drilled in would be fine. Won’t last forever but great price and has done the trick. Looking at purchasing another for myself. (Tip: can use zip ties to secure the rose to the frame)

I like the arch. It is very light weight but suits where I want it. But please count the screws before they are sent out. I am 2 screws short, so have to make a trip to the hardware store before I can finish it. You get what you pay for

Wow - better than I expected!!

Absolutely thrilled with my 3 x Arches. I delayed contributing with a review to see how they would come through the strong gusts of winds we have recently experienced here in West Auckland - not a problem. To be honest I wasn't confident that what I perceived to be the 'thin little wire pegs' would be strong enough to hold them in place - I was wrong again, they did!! I have had many favourable comments since they went in.

This arch look's really amazing and I was very surprised how strong and sturdy it is considering how light the metal is, l put it together and set it up in less than 30 minute's, which is great considering l am and old lady. It handles the snow, wind and rain of the deep south without any issues, great buying!!

Like a fairytale

I recently bought this arch online as my climbing roses are towering. When its arrived I was excited and worked on it to set up in the corner of our garden. Since I have outdoor tree lights and put it first in the arch then I worked my way to trail my towering roses. At night it looks enchanting like a fairytale. Its absolutely beautiful and it's becoming conversation item. My garden is a work on progress and having this arch makes me encourage to do more in the garden. It's a good buy the best decision I made a couple of weeks ago.

We live in a high wins zone and our last lot of archways was destroyed by the wind. This has two holes at the bottom rail for pegs to go in, we used those holes to screw it in the wood below and it's now very stable.

Garden arch

Was very quickly delivered, sadly not all pieces went together easily, we anchored it into the lawn, for two weeks we left it there before planting to ensure it was in best position as one side looked and was out of shape, then we got a couple of days of windy weather and our arch got blown out of the ground , so now we are looking for some stronger poles to help it stay in place as the pins supplied are not really sufficient to hold in windy conditions. Would I recommend I have ticked yes but it’s a yes / no as it depends on there site

Wens Auckland

The arch is attractive but it was a little light weight....I was expecting something a bit more solid with the steel (if it is steel). However the price was around $70 so not a bad price and it may last as long as the Passion Fruit Vine I am using it for. I doubt I would buy a second one and I would have if it had been a stronger steel construction. It was easy to assemble a bit bendy but simple for a girl to assemble
