On sloping ground so had to have a level pad created. Once that was done then easy item to erect. Drove some 500mm Waratah standards into ground and secured the frame to these. Wife gave me a hand to pull the cover over and secure it to the frame. Then established some bed sides to create garden down one side and across the back. The idea of the other side is to have potted plants along there. Planted tomatoes, lettuce and also pea and bean seeds.
I recently purchased a 6 x 3 Tunnel House from Trade Tested after viewing my neighbour’s identical T/House , I love it , if my wife is looking for me she knows where I will be I can’t stay out of it , it took two of us about three hrs to erect with a little bit of time just anchoring it at the end , we live at the beach so the galvanised frame was essential and couldn’t believe how sturdy it is . I transplanted what was left of the young plants from my old garden and added new ones along with a few seeds , the flower seeds were through in a matter of two weeks , the T/House has been up three weeks what surprises me the most is how healthy the plants are it’s very encouraging , my strike rate over the years has been less than average, so far now it’s looking great .
We got this greenhouse in winter so my 6 year old could have his nerf gun birthday party inside it. It is a great size and was a great shelter for the kids to play outside on a colder day, as well as containing all the bullets. Coming into spring I have plans to use it for my gardening but my son is still enjoying playing nerf in it. It's big enough I'll be able to use half for my garden and half for my kids, ill pop some shelves for planters in the front and in summer I'll pop a pool for the kids in the back. It's really massive. It is important to secure all the edges of the cover to the ground well though, due to the size it acts like a giant sail in the wind. As long as the edges are secured well the wind so far seems to be able to move over and around well enough.
I did alter a little instead of pinning to ground I put the tunnel house frame to a timber frame now ready for planting it so warm inside
Just finished putting it together was easy to put up o warm i side on cool day I altered the grounding of the tunnel house didn't want to pin to ground now ready to planting
Hi there! Taken me a bit to post this feedback, but felt I needed to, so here it is! Sadly my tunnel house appears to have been a factory fault that was missed by QC. I've only just unpacked my purchase from having received it many weeks previous, to discover that it's faulty with a failed seam at one end. Disappointed with this discovery, but more so in finding this out so late after purchase of this product. Left feeling deflated after this unexpected result.
Was supposed to be my new garden greenhouse but ended up as an interim chicken coop which they love and has kept them warm through the frosts. Looks like I might need another for my now dying plants which didn't fare so well in the frosts.
Easy to put together .Would recommend two people although it could be done by one.Everything fit well and quality seems good, only time will tell how the cover stands up to NZ weather but it seems ok.
Not happy with the quality of tunnel houses I purchased two 5 m tunnel houses both have all rotten windows they don’t last much past the warranty date
The setup of the 6x3 meter tunnel house was fairly easy and straightforward. We did make sure to duct tape over the joints for extra sturdiness. We pegged the corners and middle down with weedmat pegs. Once it was all set up we had high winds through the area and while other garden items blew all around our backyard, the tunnel house didn't even seem to flinch. The only "negative" is the zippers will wear out eventually on the doors. Trying to keep the bugs out they will see a lot of wear and tear.
