Product overview

Break down your garden waste quickly and easily with this quality wood chipper from Hyundai.

The included towing hitch is handy for larger properties, attach it to a quad bike or ride-on mower and cut down on time spent carting garden waste to your chipper.

With a heavy-duty 210cc 4-stroke engine powering a v-belt twin blade drive, it makes short work of small to medium branches up to 40mm in diameter depending on the depending on type and hardness of the wood - keep in mind that dry hardwoods such as manuka and mapou will need to be significantly smaller to chip effectively.

Thanks to its efficient self-feeding action, it’s simple to use - just feed in branches and twigs into the wide mouth hopper and watch as the extended discharge spreads valuable mulch to your desired location. The hopper is hinged for easy blockage clearance, while the extended discharge is especially handy for feeding directly onto a trailer, ute deck or wheelbarrow.

The precision HSS blades and hardened steel anvil cut clean and fast, while the pneumatic tyres and all steel construction mean it’s built to handle life at your place.

Q:
Hi, description refers to branches, sort of mentions vege garden waste, does this machine deal with the leaf growth on various trees from conifer to fruit trees and can it deal with waste like weeds and vege pruning offcuts ? thanks.
A:
Yes, this will happily take your leafy tree branches. As for loose leaves and weeds this will be okay as well but avoid clogging the chipper up by feeding all at once. Chippers prefer to have greenery attached to a branch to help it pull everything through.

Q:
Would you recommend this model for mainly bracken plus some blackberry and leafy manuka branches?
A:
This would work, however hardwood will need to be significantly smaller to chip effectively.

7hp chipper.

Starts easily. Performs well. Chips finer than my electric mulcher & in the fraction of the time.

a hyundai wood chipper

this is a great product. It chipped up around 3 cubic meters of tree trimmings which my neighbour used for mulch

Blue beauty.

This shredder is more than suitable for the property we have. Must admit it was a learning experience at first. Only one point is that the wood is best chipped when still green and don’t add a lot of leafy stuff too often. Otherwise, I am more than happy with the purchase.

Happy

Has done all asked of it.Works best on softer material doubt it would like manuka ,but for around the yard is great. Will make orchard pruning a lot easier

Hyundai Wood Chipper

Chipper was better than I expected. 40 mm was a bit big but 30 and under was fine. Chipped better with foliage on the branches Easy to start and manouvre. Overall happy

Under Delivers

This product under delivers in my view. I have adjusted everything several times in order to chip efficiently but it clogs continuously. The material being chipped is light hedge clippings. I have followed instructions. Very disappointed.

Waste of money

Have attempted to use this for over a year now. Completely useless, doesn’t mulch, has trouble with all kinds of branches even under the recommended size, anything slightly small doesn’t chip but goes through and stays as long sticks (photo added) Consistently having to open each nut to clear it out after about every 3-4 branches you put in. The safety cover rattled off each time no matter how tight the screws are so friggin hot to touch. I’m so upset with this purchase they only thing I’ve gained is it takes up room in the shed... not a good thing

My first chipper so can’t compare.

This chipper was cheaper for it’s size than all on the market that I could find. It came boxed well and I was easily able to move it with a trolley. Installation was straight forward. I found one preinstalled bolt cross threaded and not tight but it wasn’t stripped so I correct that. Easy oil & fuel, and maintenance instructions. I had some trouble to start with trying to shred caprosma (soft wiry plant) which it didn’t like but got that hang of it after that. The front stand doesn’t quite fold away as advertised as the bolt hole is in the wrong place (minor inconvenience), otherwise no complaints. The front stand vibrates when shredding so you need to pad it if using it on a wooden surface otherwise it leaves a mark. Thoroughly recommend.
