Q:
Hi, could this work in a paved courtyard entrance? Can you get metal feet or weights with it instead of driving into the ground?
A:
Yes it could, it comes as is, but you could figure out a mounting system pretty easy - how about have two small planters on either side that you attach the legs to?

Q:
How are the steel garden arches fixed to the ground? Thanks.
A:
The legs are sharpen at the ends of the metal shaft so it's easy to insert into the ground.

Great Garden Arch

Easy to assemble and strong enough for the job. Located over a pathway on a hill section. Looks great. Dug the legs into the ground and poured concrete in to make it 100% secure.

Pretty good, takes a while to put together but looks great, hopefully will last / not rust and crumble in a a couple years.

Garden arch steel gothic

As described. It’s lightweight but for the price is a cheap archway solution. You get what you pay for. Very easy to assemble and put up. Looks fine and better than a hole in my hedge!

Didn't Last

Looked great when we installed it in the garden, but 18 months later (6 months outside the warrantee) it rusted out and collapsed. Very disappointing, particularly given our beautiful climbing jasmine plant had to be removed to take down the arch.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Garden Arch Steel Gothic

Looks lovely although could be just a little heavier duty - looks a little light.

Well constructed

The arch is well constructed, sturdy and reasonably easy to construct. My only criticism would be that in places, mainly after the nuts and bolts are attached, the paint can flake off, suggesting the steel underneath could have been prepared better before painting. Also some of the welds weren't painted well enough as rust appeared after the first rain from some of them. Both of these issues can be easily fixed with a spray of enamel paint after assembly but this shouldn't be a requirement. I would suggest some means of tethering the arch be included in the kit. A tent comes with ropes and pegs, I think the arch should too as it won't remain standing in a stiff breeze without them. Stabbing the feet into the ground isn't an option as the legs fill with water and can't drain if that is done.

Fabulous

This is great, sturdy and very stylish.

Cheap and cheerful

Build quality isn't great and it's starting to rust already and one of the welds was loose but that won't matter when it's all covered in Jasmine as you won't see the imperfections. I brought 2 and placed them back to back to make a longer arch.
