Q:
Will you be able to supply replacement covers for these in years to come?
A:
Yes they are available.

Q:
Is it waterproof?
A:
The fabric will be pretty good, however the seams etc are not sealed so no it's not fully waterproof. That being said, it's not a tent, so it isn't designed to be waterproof, it's designed to create a warm fertile environment for growing plants.

Q:
Will you be getting any with clear covers?
A:
At this stage no, just the green covers.

Q:
What is the life span of one of these?
A:
It's highly dependent on exposure to wind, high UV etc, they come with a 1 Year Warranty. Check out our customer reviews for a better idea of how people are getting on with them. If you are looking for a true long term solution we'd suggest looking at one of our greenhouses.

Q:
What is the maximum wind rating of this product please?
A:
These have no measured rating, so we can't guarantee wind resistance, however going on our customer feedback below, they're pretty sturdy for this type of product. How well they are assembled in terms of fastening to the ground, reinforcing frame etc will play a part. Have a read of the customer reviews on this and other models below to get an idea of how they are using them, the fixing methods used and what to expect.

Q:
Do you have clear plastic covers
A:
No currently only available in green.

Q:
Will the rain come through and does the cover offer sun protection
A:
Water will not come in through the fabric, however the seams are not sealed so it is not completely waterproof, and the cover itself does offer protection from the sun. Both these aspects of the design go towards creating a great environment for plant growth.

Q:
Can seams be made waterproof
A:
Potentially with some waterproofing tape, but it would be hard to a good job.

Q:
How much sunlight do these block? Looking to grow capsicums, raspberries, blueberries (crops that need a good amount of sun to ripen and sweeten), and to keep the birds off them - would this tunnel house be suitable? Thanks
A:
Yes this will be great.

Q:
How do I secure the tunnel to the ground - I live in a windy area.
A:
There are lots of ways to do it, depending on where it is going. You can use pegs, steel warratahs (see the 3m x 6m customer photos), bent rebar or similar if it's going directly onto the ground. Some people build wooden boxing and attach over the top using brackets and wood screws etc. Take a look at some of our customer photos on the different models for ideas, or give our sales team a call on 0800 800 880.

Not good Quality tunnel houses

Not happy with the quality of tunnel houses I purchased two 5 m tunnel houses both have all rotten windows they don’t last much past the warranty date

Sturdier than expected

The setup of the 6x3 meter tunnel house was fairly easy and straightforward. We did make sure to duct tape over the joints for extra sturdiness. We pegged the corners and middle down with weedmat pegs. Once it was all set up we had high winds through the area and while other garden items blew all around our backyard, the tunnel house didn't even seem to flinch. The only "negative" is the zippers will wear out eventually on the doors. Trying to keep the bugs out they will see a lot of wear and tear.

Great value

Our tunnel house has handled some big winds with no issues. My plants are loving it, especially the eggplants! It would be nice if the doors were double zipped with screens, but that would add a reasonably large additional cost, so that's fair.

Great Green Tunnel

If you have put up a tent - you can do this. Easier with 2 people. We had it up and covered in no time. We anchored it down with waratahs. The poles are well marked out. The space inside is amazing ! It gets warm in there so the windows and 2 doors help. It does exactly what we wanted - grow veggies and propagate plants without the hassle of weeds, slugs and snails. We are very happy with it.

Sturdy larger than you think tunnel house at a great Price!

It sounded a good size but wow the internal space is huge! It comes with easy to follow instructions which our handyman had frame up in 6 hours and next day - easier with a 2nd pair of hands - put the cover over and anchored to ground. An added tip is buy some self adhesive foam strips to place on hoops before putting on frame as we have tunnel house in high wind area and wanted to avoid wind movement wear of cover against hoop joins. Looks fantastic and had 2 queries where we got it and didn't believe the price for the size and quality! Another person wanted to just buy it off of us! Wildlife Foxton Trust - using it to grow Spinifex for dune restoration work.

6 mtr Tunnel House

Super easy to put together, this is my second one but much bigger, the plants just seem to grow faster and much bigger. Hubby built garden boxes down the length of the tunnel house and there is still plenty of height for tomato plants to grow...there is only myself and hubby but we grow for friends as well. LOVE this product!!

Fair deal

I have had my 6M tunnel house up only a couple of weeks, but I can say it went together just fine. It takes a bit of reading between the lines to figure where everything connects together but is pretty manageable. The cover fits over pretty well and so long as the zips hold out I think this should last and be great. The dimensions did catch me out as I tried to assemble it straight over a 3m raised garden. Thats when I found out its a bit less than 3m so If you are putting it in a tight space or fitting something into it I would suggest part assembling and measuring the dimensions yourself.
