a: The footprint of this shed is 2.31m (W) x 1.55m (D), your floor should be rebated 25mm all round to account for the approx 20mm channels with some wiggle room. Please contact our sales team on 0800 800 880 or sales@tradetested.co.nz if you would like a copy of the manual or further info.

Great Size and Value for Money

First shed my housemate and I have put up - we got there in the end. The instructions could be clearer and you need a flat surface to put it all together on before erecting. The one area that you may need help with is fitting the doors - we didn't get it quite right but that said product is a great size and good value for money. Trade Tested were also really good in giving me another inside door latch to help resolve my door issue.

The shed was easy to assemble and the end result was a great looking shed to meet our expectations. The colour choice was a big draw card when choosing to go with Trade Tested. All in All very happy with our purchase.

Good price and looks good. But instructions are incorrect. The floor needs to be bigger than instructions and a lot of instruments are wrong. Husband got it together by working it out helped he was a builder.

fantastic shed, easy to put together and will need second person to hold walls up while assembling. I found that the slide bolt for holding the second closed was to small and you need to have two slide bolts one top and bottom. Over all I would give this shed, 9 out of 10. Hope this will help you to make a decision thus ends the review.

I ordered this shed but was very nervous as it was my first purchase through trade tested. But I am very happy with the shed and would recommend others to buy products through trade tested.

Great shed & so easy to assemble

I bought this shed a month ago and couldn't be happier with it. It was so easy to assemble, a great size, great quality and fantastic price. It provides really good storage space and the double doors mean it's really easy to get our bikes in and out. Trade tested also provides awesome customer service as I contacted them with an assembly question and they came back to me within 15 mins with a clear explanation for what I needed to do for that step...wouldn't get that anywhere else!!

Shed is ok, instructions are not very easy to follow. The steel is thin and bends easy when trying to drill the tec screws through the panels. Some small pilot holes in the panels would help but i ended up using some custom sized timber packing either side of the drill site to clamp it together and prevent the steel bending.

The kitset was a bit of a surprise. I needed tools that were not recommended or listed as necessary. Very unclear instructions. However, after a few backward steps the shed was completed and looks OK. However it was a big challenge. Because of the errors made during assembly I am not entirely happy with it, but it is up and in use.

Great shed but....

Not straight forward to put together (I have done 2 of them). Biggest issue is getting the door frames and doors square. Some of the instructions are pretty vague as well. You need to be confident enough to freestyle a bit.

Positives: Comes well packaged and paint finishes are very good and all the tools are supplied - albeit the drill bit went blunt pretty quick Negatives - oh where do I start - is it the hour or so peeling of the protective film that clings like a needy friend to all the wall panels - is it the expense of the plasters for all the cuts from the razor sharp edges - yes I saw the note about the gloves but try getting that film off with gloves on and it gloves don't protect your legs and arms - and lets not forget this was made to suit the manufacturer/freighter with more parts than would be required if the package was longer - and in the same vein minimal pre-drilling to ease assembly - and the instructions are a real mix - some very clear instructions on the simple bits and very poor instructions on the complicated bits including the parts not matching the pictures. So 6 hours assembly time down and I am picking a similar number still to go. So on balance I cannot recommend this product.

You get what you pay for

Overall, it works but the instruction manual could have been clearer for the door assembly section. The wall panels are very thin, scratch easy and I had to reinforce them by screwing ply to the top and bottom of the interior wall plates. The panels even flex in the wind without this! Full sections are very weak when being handled for assembly. Not a shed for use in a trade capacity, more suited for light garden use.

Finished product good. I would not recommend to anyone without building or good DIY experience as the instructions are terrible!

Flimsy

2018-03-25 21:29:11

Terible instructions, nothing square. So flimsy small breeze lifted walls away while trying to build. The wooden floor kit did not match in size and was not enough timber to match the internal floor. Need to beef up steel for lock as anyone would be able to break into this very easily, just not solid enough to be secure.

Quite difficult to put together if you are not a carpenter. Door panels did not quite fit. But once its up is a good size shed.

This is fine for a garden shed however it is not very strong and the lock can be pulled out very easily. The sidings are also not strong and therefore not particularly safe if you are wanting to lock something away securely - we have had to add strengthening to walls external footing and concrete base. Would prefer to pay more and get a sturdy shed

What a mission!

2017-12-10 09:02:58

Some parts of the instructions are very hard to read and understand and I had to take the end floor planks off to secure the corners to the bearers after assembling the flooring first as per the instructions among other things. Also, some of the pieces of the front wall seem too long causing issues with the roof fitment. Also the shed definitely needs more bracing as is quite flimsy in parts. Some improvements to the instructions definitely need to be made. I think the product is okay but maybe a review via customer feedback is in order to improve service. Once up it looks okay.

Too much assembly

This shed required too much assembly. It was difficult to assembly the panels with a large work trestle to keep it flat and give access to both sides
