Garden Shed Wooden Floor Kit 2.31m x 1.55m

Great floor for the garden shed. Since the floor was a little bit too wide to keep the rebates at the ends, I had to cut one of the boards, which was not a problem. I also replaced the nails with screws so that I can replace boards more easily if necessary.

Easy to assemble but about 40mm too short. Now were having to get more timber to fill the gap. Disappointing when its advertised and sold as a package to fit the shed.

I follow the instruction to construct the timber floor with 75 x 50 x 2.31m x 4 nos and 150 x19 x 1.5m x 15 nos paling board. setting out as per diagram given in the website with 25mm set back with paling perimeter all round; with the depth of 1.55 less 25mm top n bottom, so the paling length of 1.5m just fit in, why we need to cut the length to 1.495m? if we cut it to 1.495m, then 1.55m depth less 1.495m then we the set back of 27.5mm top and bottom, with the 50mm timber bearer, then it leave us 22.5mm pace for the nail to go through. I found that it is not necessary. The U155 channel is 20mm wide and it doesn't to have a set back of 27.5mm!! U155 channel has 2 different flange heights, where the higher flange height has the pilot holes for tek screw to it from outside face of the wall, the lower height flange of U155 is facing inside the shed that set at the setback (recess) facing the timber floor board of 19mm thick . The hook anchor shown in the manual is practical useless which you can't use it to hold down the U155 from inside the shed. Inside the shed the lower height flange of U155 is the same level as timber floor board!.

Simple to build. Does the trick. Wood has shrunk a bit making gaps bigger between planks than expected.

This platform was easy to assemble and solid but was too narrow to fit the same sized shed on top. I had to purchase additional timber to plug the gap.

We bought the floor kit for our new shed as couldn't quickly source the palings locally and it was very convenient having it delivered with everything cut to size. Was straightforward to make except the palings were so wet we couldn't fit them all on the bearers & still leave the required rebate for the shed to sit on. We knew the palings would dry out over time but didn't know how long that might take, so had to use one less with small gaps between each paling. Of course once they did dry, the gaps were much bigger. To resolve we bought a garage carpet offcut for $10 and covered the floor with that. Very fancy now but dry palings would have been helpful.

Good quality product. Easy to assemble and install. Would suggest the nails in the kit would better be replaced with wood screws. The wood arrived a bit damp. When it dried it lifted from warping. Had to remove nails and replace them with screws. Otherwise a good fit for the shed

The floor is good for what it is but 50mm to shirt width ways.

This worked really well with the shed, we did put it together with extra screws so it was really strong. Would buy again and it took away the hassle of making one
