I am generally pleased with the product, however, it has a very short use time when cutting 50mm thick timber to width. It cuts general sheet materials well plywood mdf etc but cutting through 50 mm thick timber length wise the battery does not last the 5 AH as advised for its use. I think this possibly is due to the fact that most contractors possibly would not think of cutting timber down to suit as apposed to purchasing new. I am still generally happy as the use time from the bsttery allows my drills, multi tool and reciprocal saw last longer.

Genuine battery at a good price

I purchased the two new batteries as I now have a Makita lawnmower, so whilst one set of batteries are being used I can have the other pair being charged with time for a cup of coffee after each use. At 77, I need recharging as much as the batteries.
