Construction Points: Your chosen site must be levelled and compacted to minimise ‘settling’. Where possible the shed should be built on a concrete base or pavers or on traditional pile foundations.
If the shed is to be built straight on to the ground, replace the bearers with H4 grade timber equivalents big enough to provide 50mm or more of clearance between the floor and the ground. Once the site is level and clear, cover it with polyurethane to protect from rising damp and moisture.
Before assembly, the underside of the floor and the joists should be painted thoroughly with a premium house paint or a colourless wood impregnation agent.

2020-10-07T00:18:55+00:00Not bad for the price. Easily put together. Was short a fair amount of screws. Amount needed was more than the number listed in the parts summary. Instructions easy to follow. Took us 3 days to put up and finish. Would recommend using stronger timber for the floor bearers. Those provided are a little lightweight.
Great Garden Shed

2019-07-12T23:05:58+00:00I put this shed up on a concrete foundation last summer and am pleased with the result. I managed to do the work on my own which was tricky with the wall panels and trusses but worked with the help of a few props and clamps. The instructions are difficult to interpret at times so take your time. I had to modify part of the roof structure to get it right. There was some spare timber which was handy as there was some packing damage. You end up with lots of nails left over but run out of screws so have to buy quite a few more. A few tips: - The part numbering does not align with the instructions so sort everything out before you start. - Put it together as accurately as you can as small errors build up when working with T&G. - Plan ahead with T&G clearances to try to finish with a full planks rather than trimming to size. - Put in more screws to strengthen to structure. - Throw away the locks supplied. They are flimsy and fail easily. Buy new door hardware. - Use a rubber paint to seal the laps and edges of the roofing paper. It should extend the life.

2018-03-10T10:52:35+00:00Found that garden shed, was warned before that the wood is very light but for that price I was giving it a shot and I am happy I did. Local competitors are ridiculously overpriced, and this shed looks just amazing. Don't buy the stain they recommend though. Great product!! Great value

2018-01-03T06:43:42+00:00Very lightweight constructed shed. Very basic instructions with illustrations only. Had to buy extra nails and screws as will not last with quantities provided. Instructions were right on the bottom of pallet so make sure you have plenty of room to unpack the entire pallet. Very labour intensive and timber had already started to twist before assembly. I don't expect this shed to last long in central otago and can't imagine what will happen if it snows.

2017-10-25T15:29:54+00:00This is an excellent product. It arrived promptly and was delivered to our address in Wanaka, which no other supplier would do. The instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow. My partner put it up, mostly by himself, with just a little help from me. There were just a few screws missing and the roofing tar paper was not the dimensions on the plans but there was plenty of it. All in all a great product.

2017-09-02T21:44:15+00:00Great value for money timber shed. Assembly is easy though labour intensive (lots of T&G), just make sure you're working with a decent foundation.. I built a simple framework up on piles and put the shed on top, which works well and keeps everything bone dry. A couple of cautions though: first the roofing material is a textured paper which tears easily and isn't fantastic. It also can't be installed as the instructions state.. you actually need four lengths not three because as supplied it's just not wide enough. Fortunately you do get enough material but I'm going to overlay mine with galv. Also, this timber is as soft as butter which while easy to work with does need to be preserved so make sure you stain or oil the whole thing. On the joists and underside of the T&G floor I also used a double coat of Creostain. All in all though a great product at a great price and excellent service from TT!
