Construction Points: Your chosen site must be levelled and compacted to minimise ‘settling’. Where possible the shed should be built on a concrete base or pavers or on traditional pile foundations.

If the shed is to be built straight on to the ground, replace the bearers with H4 grade timber equivalents big enough to provide 50mm or more of clearance between the floor and the ground. Once the site is level and clear, cover it with polyurethane to protect from rising damp and moisture.

Before assembly, the underside of the floor and the joists should be painted thoroughly with a premium house paint or a colourless wood impregnation agent.

Q:
Hey, was just wondering if it would be possible to add windows onto this? As it wouldn't have much natural lighting. Cheers
A:
These come with side windows, however if you were wanting to add more you would be able to do so. As this is kit-set it would be best to get advice from a builder on how you could achieve this.

Q:
Hi there, For our site we would require the double doors to be at the other end and the single door on the front to be on the front right (opposite to diagram) - is this an option or is the design standard? Many thanks :)
A:
Yes you can switch the door position.

Q:
Hi there, in regards to the centre wall, i see the previous query that it possibly could be slightly moved, but could it be modified to provide the necessary support but opening up the space? Am wanting to put a spa pool inside it. Thanks
A:
If structurally the roof was still supported and didn't compromise the integrity of the shed then yes this would be possible. However these sheds are kitset and the timer is pre-cut so it won't be straight forward, please feel free to contact our sales team on the 0800 number if you want to investigate further, they can share the manual with you so you can see what's involved.

Q:
Hi can the double doors be placed on the side instead of the end?
A:
The shed comes as a kitset and the walls are pre-fabricated sections, therefore moving the doors to the side would require significant modification because the doors (700mm each) are narrower than the side wall sections (900mm).

Fun summer project

Arrived around new years so we spent the next few weekends slowly putting together. Got a cheap Bunnings paint gun and used some self priming paint and did all the panels before putting up as well as under the floor and interior....best decision ever as saved a lot of painting and hassle later.. As others have said and wish we had paid more heed as the floor joists are junk, far too light and with this shed on piles and bearers I had to reinforce with extras joists after the fact by slotting in... floor still shakes a bit. Shame as this is probably the only real marks off. Latches are light so will eventually replace and have already put a rim lock on the back door. Have still to put the additional shingles on roof. Bike storage and workshop front and general storage in back. Overall a good shed for the price and really pleased with the result.

Wooden Shed Kit Work in Progress

Pack arrived in New Year. So I'd had time to get the 100mm concrete base set up and painted it with two pot epoxy to reduce latent damp issues. Also having reviewed the plans on line I replaced the floor base with H4 treated timber to same plan but using 100X50 timber. I Iaid the tongue & Groove flooring and gave it three coats of poly-urethane Assembly pretty much went to plans from there on in. No issues Everything was provided. Only suggestion I have is I added 20X40 straiks to the roof after the roofing felt blew off . All now finished and painted see photos when near completion before final exterior paint job. also had electrician in to install lighting, power sockets and external sensor lamps. Only remained to add work benches, plastic bins and storage shelving and fill space with tools ladders etc again see pics all done

Perfect

This is the second shed that we have purchased from this company . You follow the instructions carefully and you can erect it over a couple of days . My son stained it and it looks fantastic

Garden shed

This is a good shed and is great value for money, however the screws supplied with the shed were of poor quality.

Dan shed

Smooth untreated timber that’s easy to work with. Important to ensure base is square and level. For extra strength I added more screws in some areas. Had some minor issues but staff at Trade Tested very friendly and helpful.

Dan shed

We had a Dan shed erected today and we are absolutely thrilled with it, we would highly recommend this smart looking, roomy shed. Its great to have two sheds in one a garden shed for me and tool shed for my husband. The installers were fantastic and finished it in one day.

Great Shed

Very satisfied with our purchase. We decided to place it on piles. I am not much of a handy person but my wife suggested we put up our tent, label each piece of timber and stack into the tent. Once the piles and bearers were down following the instructions was quite simple and now very pleased with the end result. Particularly with the cost and size of the building.

Nice kit set shed

Not bad for the price. Easily put together. Was short a fair amount of screws. Amount needed was more than the number listed in the parts summary. Instructions easy to follow. Took us 3 days to put up and finish. Would recommend using stronger timber for the floor bearers. Those provided are a little lightweight.
