Construction Points: Your chosen site must be levelled and compacted to minimise ‘settling’. Where possible the shed should be built on a concrete base or pavers or on traditional pile foundations.

If the shed is to be built straight on to the ground, replace the bearers with H4 grade timber equivalents big enough to provide 50mm or more of clearance between the floor and the ground. Once the site is level and clear, cover it with polyurethane to protect from rising damp and moisture.

Before assembly, the underside of the floor and the joists should be painted thoroughly with a premium house paint or a colourless wood impregnation agent.

Q:
Hi. Is 1.9 the wall height or roof peak height?
A:
That is the roof peak height

Q:
Can the window be placed on either side?
A:
I'm afraid this cannot be switched as the panels are precut.

Q:
Is there anyway the doors can be sliding or folding so they don't open outwards?
A:
Yes we're sure you would be able to modify them with some thought (or have someone do it), but you would need to source the correct mechanisms etc. It's not something that can be done using what is supplied with the shed.

Q:
Do I need planning or council permission to put up this shed?
A:
As this shed is under 10m² generally it will be exempt , however we always recommend checking with the council regarding placement on your property, especially if you plan on having it less than its height away from the boundry line.

Q:
Can the shed be insulated/lined?
A:
Yep, this is not designed to be, however you could.

Garden shed turns she-shed!

This was a fast, economical way to get a shed built in my yard. An experienced builder put it all together in about 10 hours. We upgraded the floor base and changed out the doors (glass panel) and window (opening) for my preferences, and upgraded the roofing. It is great and perfect size for my space and needs.

Very happy customer

I'm very happy with the shed. I'd probably recommend using a nail gun rather than the screws included in the kit, but other than that - all good.

Garden shed used to make bathroom and toilet

The shed came packed well just fitted on my trailer, packing dimensions advertise were correct. Everything was in the package. The wood is very nice and smells good. Everything fitted together well, assembly was quite easy. I modified my shed to make it taller to accommodate a full size shower closet. I also mounted my shed on some heavy duty treated wooden rails without doing this the shed would definitely need to be mounted on concrete . This was pretty simple and I was able to buy the right dimension timber in New Zealand. Really the only criticism I would have is the smaller screws provided are not very good quality. Generally I would say this is an excellent product.

Wooden shed

Haven't put up yet have to waterproof wood before I do ,found a few screws rusted when opened package. If you don't build of the ground and stain seal you will have raising damp wood very dry. Over all ok

Good product and good service

This is a good shed, but there are a few things to be aware of: The screws are fine - possibly changed since other reviews - but it is frustrating to find different types and sizes of drivers are required. The felt is fiddly and a bit of a pain. The instructions are decent but lack some important detail - like the clearance required for the door fixings. It's well designed and so far is waterproof. Overall good value.

keep the same

Good shed except it had a door catch missing and the screws were not very good (crap screws). I changed all the screws to better quality ones which had square drive ends. No need to predrill or hold the screws, except for the end of the timber joints. Customers need to be informed they need to pre-oil the timber so they get a much longer life out of it.

Good

Overall it is good. But there were too many bad looking, or broken timber in the pack. The screws are good for a toy house but not for this shed. I had proper timber screws at home so I could finish it.

Excellent Shed

Was very happy with this shed, erected in a day by tradesman. Looks really great and ideal size.

Shed

Great little shed, easy to put up.

Garden shed

Great quality shed. Quite involved to put together, definitely not a straight forward kitset job for one person. We had a builder help and are very pleased with the result. Note it needs to be painted for weather protection also.
