This log splitter comes well packaged and ready for use. Perfect for our purposes, splitting kanuka easily. It takes two people to safely lift the log splitter and place it onto the back of the flat deck ute - the perfect height for operating it. Definite value for money in terms of hiring vs purchasing a log splitter, as we live in a remote location and need to manage windfalls trees as well as stocking firewood.

Great log splitter. We have so far used on pine and macrocarpa. Safe to use. Wished we had bought one sooner. The axe is now retired.

An exellent bit of gear, simple to operate and powerful

A friend of ours has an older version of the log splitter and recommended it to us. It works well splitting willow and elder that we have with rounds up to 40cm diameter. It has enough power to split very knotty wood. Recommend you mount it in a table-like structure (ours is mounted on old saw horses) to get a good working height and for stacking wood once split rather than having to bend down each time to pick up off the floor.

Good results on most logs. Even knotty, old, dried out wood was despatched to the firewood pile. Excellent for home use.

Had to put the unit on a platform .Two operators cut down a lot of body movement one loads it one operates the ram . For big jobs hire a log splitter .faster .
