Hyundai Submersible Drainage Clean Water Pump 250W

This is a great pump for its size. It is being used to pump water from one water tank to two others. No problem, pumping water to a height of four meters. A little ripper.

Brought this wee pump to drain our pool, thought it would take all day to empty. But within 2 hours of placing pump in I had pool emptied, cleaned, dismantled and put away for winter. Very easy unit to use.

Used for 5-6 hours perfect for domestic residential use

Great product and great price Does the job

My most important criteria when selecting a pump was it needed to automatically switch itself on when the water level reached 100mm. So this pump seemed perfect given the TradeTested website says "in Automatic mode the pump will start when water level reaches 95mm and turn off when water level drops to 40mm". However that statement is simply not true. My testing in a large sink showed the absolute minimum water level that the automatic float actually needs to switch on the pump is 3 times that number, with the pump needing to be submerged right up to its handle before it starts. That makes it entirely unusable for my situation located outside the garage with water levels that could never rise beyond where the pump's black plastic waist line tapers inwards. In the same way that the specifications on the product page incorrectly states (twice!) that the pump has two outlets when it only has one, I expect the incorrect 95mm automatic pump start level was also something lost in translation from the original spec sheet. The minimum water level for the pump to be fully primed allowing full flow and avoiding cavitation when manually turning it on is 95mm. But its float switch will NOT automatically turn it on until the pump is submerged with a water level of approx ~300mm. For others needing to trigger the pump at the advertised 95mm water level, my work-around was to buy a Water Link Sensor paired with their WiFi Smart Plug to auto-start the pump. Given this pump's excellent build quality and somewhat unique ability to scavenge water right down to just 5mm, I would have given it 5 stars. But the automatic float switch does not turn on anywhere near the advertised 95mm water level, so it only gets 4 from me.

Has head height that I needed, great little pump

A quality cost effective product which made short work of draining our water tank for remediation. The swivel connection is a very functional feature. Seldom do products fully meet one's expectations but this 'pearler' surpassed same. Kei te pai e hoa

Does what it says on the packet. Seems sturdy and is quiet.
