Have A dining table With Marks and rings from 30 years of use want to restore is a standard sander the way to go.

We have a 4m x 1m wooden slab outside table with multiple layers of polyurethane on it. This needs revarnishing so we need to sand it back. Will this sander do the job?
No you will need a belt sander to get it all the way back to the wood.

Yes this would be a better option than an orbital.
