Product overview

The CEM Thickness Gauge Pro will enable you to safely & accurately measure the thickness of the magnetic coatings such as paint, or zinc on steel, the thickness of the insulating coatings such as paint on non-ferrous metals, and the non-ferrous metal coatings on insulating substrates.

Widely used in the inspection field of automobile manufacturing, the metal processing industry, chemical industry, commodity inspection and more, this Pro Thickness Gauge is the real deal.

With a dual working principles, this device features automatic selection of magnetic induction or eddy current measurement techniques. Featuring two operation modes; continuous continue measuring and single measurement, plus four calibrations; zero point calibration, one point calibration, two point calibration and basic calibration, you have the freedom to choose the settings that best suit the condition or the thickness of the surface you wish to measure.

The DIR working mode is ideal for quickly collecting up to 80 measurements, however when using this mode the measured data is not saved after you shutdown the device or change working modes. The GRO mode however includes 4 groups of working modes, and can save date for up to 80 measurements per group - totalling at a whopping 320 measurements saved to look back on where needed. The gauge also comes with a handy USB Interface for PC Software, meaning all the measured data you collect can be uploaded to you computer for data analysis.

Complete with sound alerts for measuring, a low battery indicator, error indicator, and an easy-to-read screen with 8 levels of backlighting, you'll be using this device with ease in no time.

This kit includes: 2 x “AAA” batteries, USB cable, CD, Calibration Iron, Calibration Aluminum, Precision Standard, Carry case.

• Non-magnetic coatings (e.g. paint, zinc) on steel
• Insulating coatings (e.g. paint) on no-ferrous metals
• No-ferrous metals coatings on insulating substrates
• Menu operation system
• Two working modes: DIRECT and GROUP mode
• One point calibration, two points calibration and basic calibration easily
• Memory for 1500 readings ( 30 GROUP readings)

Works Well But it comes with a cd rom software that is out of date

The coating thickness Gauge works well but when doing the checks the data needs to be collected and shared via usb. With this model it comes with an ancient cd rom data that is out of date This in turn leads to hours and hours of manual data entry
