Construction Points:

A good foundation is the key to guaranteeing the longevity and quality of your cabin. Only a completely level, rectangular foundation and bearers will ensure problem-free installation of the cabin.

The floor must be a minimum of 50mm off the ground, preferably more. The underside of the floorboards and the joists should be painted thoroughly and care taken to ensure enough airflow under the house. We recommend using Malthoid DPC between joists and the ground.

Your chosen site must be levelled and compacted to minimise ‘settling’. We recommend using strip or spot foundations, concrete foundations or pavers or a cast concrete bed.

If unsure consult with, or have the foundation prepared by a specialist.

Q:
Hi - would it be possible to deconstruct this at some point in the future (I'm in a rental and would want to take it with me)
A:
We haven't come across anyone that has deconstructed one before however we don't see why it wouldn't be possible. It may even be possible to move in one piece depending on what kind of foundation it is on.

Impressed with quality and style

A nice little shed that went together easily and instructions were reasonably clear. One piece of wall was warped but used it at the rear wall so didn't interfere with door position. Door leaks a little in stormy rain as the glass is beaded on the inside but the roof is water tight. Quality and fit of joinery is otherwise all done to a very high standard for a shed. I replaced the regular glass with toughened safety glass and replaced the double sided key for a snib on the interior/key outside as using this for a changing room. This was easy to find at the hardware store and fitted the latch mechanism perfectly.

I love it

This shed is a steal... It's amazing value. The build quality is amazing - the floor, roof and walls feels incredibly sturdy. It keeps me warm in the winter and chill in the summer. Log Cabin Garden House Vivian 2.0m x 2.0m is perfect for everyday living!

amazing value!

I placed it on my backyard to live inside and It's really good. It kept me warm and nice during the winters and It kept me cool inside the summers. It can easily withstand massive storms, flood, etc and no rain can come in. I'll be looking forward to buy another one because this is amazing quality for a small price

Vivian Garden House

Product is excellent for it's intended use as a battery /electronics shed for solar power system. Easy to assemble. However the instructions for the base were open to interpretation, and in fact did not really work, as the floor joists when assembled as shown actually had the door sitting too low in the wall. Easily solved with an insert fitted under the sill. The instructions had the walls sitting on top of the joists, when instead the joists should have been fully inside the walls. The gap between the door sill and the floor was exactly the dimensions of the joists. The photo shows the under sill packer, whereas the images on the video shows the sill flush with the bottom of the wall. So confusion between instructions and the video.

Looks great.

Very happy with the finished product. It took a few days and the instructions weren't the clearest but once we got going it was fine.

Cabin Fever.... Sweet Service

Feeling good with the Vivian cabin after comparing all the others, right choice for us as its exactly what we wanted, storage first then later a hobby studio in the backyard. No medication required to put this together, the solid timber looks & feels good & after 2 days this semi retired had it completed & painted. Lots of nice comments from visitors on how cute it looks & we have to agree, it compliments our garden setting nicely.
