Double glazing in all windows helps keep warmth in and noise out, perfect for getting some work done or relaxing in peace and quiet.
With comprehensive instructions, assembly is easier than you might expect, while the house is delivered untreated and unfinished, so you can choose the stain or colour that fits best with your location.

Construction Points:
A good foundation is the key to guaranteeing the longevity and quality of your cabin. Only a completely level, rectangular foundation and bearers will ensure problem-free installation of the cabin.
The floor must be a minimum of 50mm off the ground, preferably more. The underside of the floorboards and the joists should be painted thoroughly and care taken to ensure enough airflow under the house. We recommend using Malthoid DPC between joists and the ground.
If unsure consult with, or have the foundation prepared by a specialist.

I've built three cabins from Palmako so i have experience of building them and how well they weather. This product looks great when finished but a few tips. My previous builds were not watertight on the roof so i learned the hard way to do the job properly. There are no instructions for fixing the shingles so do your work by researching how to do this online. I'd advise using roofing underlayment and also instaling a drip flashing. I had to order extra shingles so i may have been a bit too paranoid about wayertightness but believe me its no fun in discovering a leak in the roof. The only substandard items are the window furniture which are rubbish and tarnished in their sealed plastic bags. Otherwise everything else is top quality. Worth pointing out that it's perfectly possible to build this cabin as a one person construction crew! Roof was tricky to start but everything else is a breeze. One of my early cabi!ns has some rot in a place that never got sunlight so pay attention to the instructions to treat the wood!
Very good product. Installed it with my young son easily. Friends viewed and enjoyed the style of wooden house. Highly recommended.
Took me four months to build. My advise is to take your time and plan your build.
We love our cabin that we put together with the help of Ferguson landscaping. It’s fantastic value for money and just needs a little patience to assemble . Help desk was great . We oiled it with Ash Black on the outside leaving natural oiling inside . It’s cosy and water proof , no leaks. If in doubt just do it
I use this Cabin as a mini open bar near my pool. Its a lovely investment !!! the assembling instructions were not that clear but once set up it looks so beautiful.
We are still trying to get this kitset cabin assembled so we can use it. The instructions are hard to follow and not comprehensive. The roof shingles in particular and the completion of the roof to a sound and weatherproof finish are lacking and not clear.
Such a sturdy well designed and great looking cabin which is perfect for our needs and made with quality in mind. My man built it all by himself which makes it all the more special. Highly recommend with lovely customer service
I enjoy my craft cottage. It is spacious and have a lovely feel to it.
Just wanted to get back to you after getting my cabin post Covid lock down. See attached what I have done to it....Lots of interest from different people so picking you will be getting a few inquiries!
We are really happy with our Melanie garden house. The product was of a very good quality, and especially loved the double glazed windows and doors. We'd definitely buy another one should we ever need it.
