Shed: Up your game on YouTube

Great shed once built. It could have been set up in a day or 2 if I did not have to figure out how to build it as the manual is 50% useless and the YouTube referrals could really show more detail with 20 short videos of 15 seconds each.

Good shed, however the assembling instructions are a bit unclear at times, and weatherproof tape could have been a bit longer. Overall very good product.

I really enjoyed putting this together and managed to do it by myself, although it would be a little quicker and easier with two people. The instructions leave a little to be desired but this is made up for with the youtube videos and phone support.

It was tricky and you’d need power drills. Managed to get it up just me and my man tricky on a windy day, you’d probably need an additional person to get it done quicker. It’s ok does the job just needed storage.

The purchase process from Trade Tested was very easy. The installer was recommended by Trade Tested. He was very good at communicating his price and did a fantastic installation. We are very happy with the shed. I would buy from Trade Tested again.

The shed is just as advertised. Takes a bit of time to assemble. All the pieces were there except for only half the roof tape required. I reckon there should be some capping ends to complete the roof nicely as some other shed have got. Generally satisfactory.

Difficult but got there

Double sided weather tape not enough and ran out. Instructions became more vague as they went on and very unclear at times. Images difficult to see details as they are not in color. Panels had some scratches and scuffs. The provided rivet gun did not work at all, I had to borrow a friends. Quite difficult to put together and took about 3 days work. Did most of the shed by myself but a few times I needed an extra pair of hands to push the panels tight. The sizing has more variance that expected and often requires you to stretch or squeeze things together but it's not always clear when/where you should do this. The inside bolt is not really going to work, I will have to buy a different one. Recommend to a friend with a big warning about difficulty

Juice not worth the squeeze

Same experience as other reviews. Double sided tape ran out, instructions missing key details and panels have scuffs on them. Those labels are a nightmare, they don't come off very easily and you need turps to remove them once the top clear layer is peeled off. Had plenty of fasteners and the screws drill well. It looks like they have tried to keep the U155 channels standard but this means the drainage holes are inside the shed. I put flashing tape (Sika Multiseal) around the floor I made and siliconed the inside edge. The inside second door bolt is not so good, I bought two and put one at the top. The door sill and head pieces had to be taken off and put on again at the end, would be worth leaving them off till last. In all the shed looks okay. I hope it lasts past the rust warranty as there are lots of holes and cut edges on the parts. It took about 4 person days to assemble. In hindsight I wish I had bought a timber one or built one myself.

The mission

This shed is a good product it's definitely a two person job. I would recommend watching the YouTube video as the manual that comes with it, isn't very clear or easy to understand and you definitely need your own tools and drill bits this was the first metal shed I've put together it pays to check ✔ it & check again before fixing the panels. Once completed it's water tight and solid

This Shed needs a few people to assemble and the instructions are not very clear in some places, the Trade tested You Tube Videos were more help. Looks the goods though and has a nice finish, would have liked more powdercoating on the panels as these had minor scratches as we took them out of the box. But overall I think its a nice shed that has a solid feel.

As complete novices with no building experience at all, we were very surprised at how well our shed went together and how good it looks. We used both the printed instructions and the video's on trade tested. We would have liked a few more close ups of some of the finer joints i.e. which piece went under and which piece went over but overall between the two we managed to get it together. The pieces are very sharp so gloves are a must! (Lots of wee cuts to the fingers!). It looks good and is weathertight. The double doors were difficult to get right but we have managed. Very happy with our shed!

I am very pleased with the purchase of my garden shed. No that is completed it looks good and the Gull Grey colour blends in nicely on my section. There were a couple of times when the instructions were a bit vague so I would recommend that you try to have a handy person helping you with the assembly of the shed. It took 3 of us 2 good days to complete the assembly.

I found there was a lot of components and takes time to sort it out. the videos from you helped. a tip is make the panels up on saw horses with timber rail between. much easier than on the ground. also would have been better with larger size tin corrugations. so many, they could have easily made them twice the width. you do need a few hand to put it up. I ended up copying the instructions to A3 size , hard to see definition in the small book.

The instructions are basic and the pictures don't always match the pics. Aside from the below par instructions the shed is simple to build. All materials were correct but a number of items 'pre-scratched' on arrival. Not enough weather proof tape for the two long sides of the shed - had to go and buy the needed. TIP: check for square at all stages and adjust before final screws. Overall a good product.

Love my new shed

First off, I loved the box my shed came packaged in. How cool! Next off, I referred to YouTube to assist with putting shed together as the instructions weren't as straight forward - could've been just me, but hey, YouTube was better. Thirdly, minus all the cuts from putting the shed together (coz I'm good like that, lol), my shed looks like a real beauty queen and looks magnificent on my property! She's a real eye turner! I keep all my good stuff in this shed and the meh stuff in my other pokey little sheds etc. Plus I love the color choice I went with too, it gives it a real sex appeal!

Took 2 people about 8 hours to put together. Provided gun broke 6 hours into the job. Corners were not marked for pins, doors needed a lot of readjustment until shut properly. No hole in the roof for electricity. Only one lock that doesn't secure the doors from the inside, had to add another lock. It is now good storage space in the carport. Ok value for decent price.

Poor customer service

Purchased the shed and matching kitset floor with pegs. Followed the instructions to a tee, leaving the 25mm rebate for the walls to sit on. When it came to constructing the walls the corner anchor pieces wouldn't work with the floor nailed down and also the 8 Hook anchors couldn't work. After explaining this issue multiple times I was then sent another set of instructions to make the corner anchors work. This means ripping up part of the floor, likely needing to purchase more flooring. The hook anchors would still not work. Why doesn't your floor work with the shed? They are meant to go together! The nail plates were also missing from the order

Solid once built

The shed is as advertised. Be aware that rain/sprinkler water will freely enter between models with 2 doors. Our shed took 2 people 3 days to build. Every supplied tool broke, every supplied roll of tape was too short, and the supplied instructions have incomplete details or poor structure, which costs time deciphering. The parts themselves work well enough, but are flimsy and cost time wrangling about. The plastic rivet washers do pretty much nothing, we stopped using them after 5 fell off after being secured. The supplied tech screws are decent, but their plastic washers are hard plastic and do the bare minimum forming a seal when they don't bow out of shape. I spent another $120 at the hardware store, buying extra tape to finish the job, and extra alluminium and weather tape to water-seal the doors. I also re-assessed after assembling that a shed with no wooden frame gives little to attatch shelves to, so I may have preferred a more robust kit with more ridgid parts to speed up assembly, doors that channel water away, and a way to install shelves. You get what's described and the end result is a solid shed that stands firm in the wind and dry in most rains.

This was very difficult. The instructions were poor and in poor English. The actual shed instructions were generic so failed us many times especially lacking in how to put the corner brackets to the floor that we also purchased. There were minimal existing holes so riveting was a nightmare. All items were of poor quality and just didnt fit 100%. Online videos were helpful to a degree but again they were generic.

It's a good shed, very sturdy and the materials are good. The instructions are a little hard to follow but the online videos made up for that. I would sit down and watch some of the videos before even starting. Also, remember to plan the floor before you go too far and give yourself a good day to put it together. I did the floor one weekend and the shed the next weekend. It's not easy, but it's not really that hard either.

Luckily I had someone with sound building and engineering experience helping me to construct my garden shed. It took the two of us most of a week to get the shed operational. It is not an easy task and made more difficult with some of the parts being wrongly coded - probably the conversion to English by Chinese suppliers. Now that the shed is completed it looks right at home in the space allocated to it and at 3.01 x 1.5 meters, it does a good job of containing all my garden requirements.

We now have an most attractive, solid shed to store our bikes and garden tools and which functions well. It was relatively easy to erect for a handyman. My only slight criticism would be that the instructions were not explicit on a couple of areas. The value for money was a class above others that I compared to the Tradetested product. I purchased this shed to fit in a special spot and it certainly looks good there. Assembly was easy with none of the usual "flat pack' problems that we are all used to encountering. It was well packed in its wooden crate and I found no damage. This shed is built to a high standard and providing you make sure you assemble all the joints snugly it works out fine. Great shed -assembly issues

The shed is great and I am happy with the purchase. My only issue was with the poor assembly instructions. The paper instructions have been photocopied to the point important detailed pictures are too grainy to see. Also there are some discrepancies between the fixings used/shown and where to fit them. Referencing the website photos didn't help. What was useful however was the trade tested videos on you tube for assembly however these also vary from the instructions provided. All in all a good product but frustrating to assemble.

Overall very happy with our shed. Looks great and is a good size! Only complaint would be the instructions provided in black in white were hard to follow in places, but after contacting the team they emailed me a coloured copy as well as links to 'how to' videos which were really helpful. I just noticed after a heavy rain fall that the top of the gable roof leaks a small bit through the screw holes. No majour though, I'll get up there and put some silicone in. Overall, very happy.
