q: I purchased one of your steel 0.79 x 3.07 garden sheds and am building the foundation. Could you confirm that the roof only overhangs on the front/back and not on the sides, making the external width of the based 3.07. If not, what is the exact width of the base?
a: Yes front and back, 3.07 x 0.79 is the footprint size of the shed (so this gives the exact width of the shed), so your pad will need to be at least this wide. We recommend a rebate of 25mm all around, so this allows the shed to sit down over the pad, creating a raised floor to help seal the shed. There are lots of online guides on how to do this, or give our sales or customer service team a call and we'd be happy to help.

Flimsy Garden Shed

Be careful when buying this product. It is very light in construction. A11 the panels require assembly from scratch so it takes quite a long time to build. The instructions, whilst adequate, do assume you have some level of understanding of building e.g. it is not mentioned the panel diagonals should be checked for square when putting the panels together. I was also surprised to fine the joists, in the base purchased along with the shed, needed to be joined. Something that should be mentioned/highlighted when purchasing. I'd guess plenty of customers get themselves in a tangle with assembly of this product. I purchased it to store wood and it is meeting my requirements, however next time, when it rusts out in say 5-7 years, I'll buy some timber and do what I should have done in the first place, build my own.

Don't do it.

Ridiculously time consuming to build. Spend more money somewhere else and buy one that doesn't need every little rivet installed. The instructions are lacking detail, a lot of discretion and psychic abilities are required. Poor product and tool quality. One YouTube video even shows a frustrated assembler throwing away one rivet gun after another! The sheets of metal are thin and flimsy, and because they are so narrow you can't lean anything on the back wall. Just don't do it.

Don't let the good price fool you.

Let's start by saying the end product is probably reasonable for what you have paid for the shed, if you don't mind spending 15 hours to get it assembled. (2 blokes and 1 earning his life doing this type of thing) Terrible instructions and a morning job that became a day job without redoing anything. If you want it assembled by somebody else expect to pay more than what you paid for the shed. Love the double doors though.

Great little shed, had no problem putting it together although the instruction manual doesn't tell all, you just have to think it through. Most of the job is one person but you need a second to shift some panels once assembled as they are a bit wobbly to handle.

We and our builders would recommend not to buy this. Substandard parts, screws too small, doors don't line up. Took 15 hours to put shed together. Floor was substandard too and has gaps in floorboards.

Upon opening found a lot of the panels scratched. Came with tools, bonus but the instructions were really poor, I mean very poor. Went on line to find YouTube instruction and they didn't give me any clues. So all on all would not recommend this product, not a happy camper

Instruction booklet is too small. Was able to view a couple of You Tube clips to review some of the instructions that were hard to follow. Garden shed itself is quite good. We did erect some extra shelving inside it that has strengthened it up. Central Otago is rather windy and it is now well braced with extra shelving added.

Went together pretty easy, two person job to stand the walls up and put the roof on. The panels came pre scratched which was a bit disappointing. But for the price of it I’m still happy

Took a few hours to assemble. All parts were there including a rivet tool. Some instructions were a bit vague but managed to sort it out. Overall the shed is great. The only downside is the double doors are a bit flimsy and I will need to buy another bolt to make it more secure. Good value for money.

needed 3 people at times to put together. Not easy but quite strong when fully assembled. Some panels received scratched. Instructions need to show more detail on part orientation and assembly and take special care around assembling the front frame. We did but ended up slightly too wide. Rivet gut gave up cutting the rivets towards the end as a minor hassle. Generally quaite a good shed but don't underestimate the work involved. Four days work mostly for 2 persons.

Perfect size for where it was intended for. The construction is what was expected, but putting it together was difficult - we ended up employing builders to do it and the cost of construction was more that the shed itself.

The instructions were very unclear and it was difficult to put together. It did not say that you would require three people to actually erect the shed. Also very flimsy and hard to get doors correct. The Lock was also flimsy and the catch to lock one door.

I felt challenged at times building this shed but the man on the help desk was helpful. Also be good to have a few more videos on YouTube. Overall pleased with the shed as it was my first attempt at building any structure. I did need extra hands to hold the walls up to attach them.

The instructions are difficult to follow even the video is confusing. I have made my own platform for the shed but there is no instructions to integrate with the shed. The cost for this small shed is not worth the trouble you have to go through.

Not bad, was pretty easy to assemble with 2 people, a little flimsy but cant argue for the price, rivet gun managed to put in 2 rivets before giving up the ghost. What not to do: leave shed assembled but not bolted down, weather looked good until a Storm came over while i was at work and bent it into angles it was never ment to go. Bugger. Plus side i got $12 from the scrappy. #winning. Will have to buy another..

Great looking shed and fits perfectly in an un-utilised little corner of our back garden. Took a bit longer to put together than we estimated, but easy enough with a bit of help and the right gear. We put the concrete base down on a Saturday morning, then put the shed up the following Saturday - took most of the day. Good little project - very pleased with it, once we put some bracing up inside to hang gear from. Fits a lot of gear.

I found the instructions hard to understand, the parts are not quite the same as in the illustrations and holes often don't line up, resulting in loads of extra drilling ..but if you are ok with spending a lot of time, it is a sturdy little shed. Love the shallow depth of 79cm

Does the job but a lot flimsier than expected. All parts were present but quite a few scratches on the colour steel cladding which was noticeable on the chosen dark colour. Some aspects of the instructions were a bit vague for tin-shed-amateurs but we got there in the end. I guess the quality was fit for the price.

This isn't a flatpack shed - it is the raw materials needed to construct a shed from tiny bits of flimsy sheet metal. Every part of the process was horrible. The materials are all cheap. It takes hours and hours and hours, and oh my god does it take hours. Do you know what tek screws are? You are going to really hate them.

Teacher Flat Bush

The shed is a good size for the price. Unfortunately, the metal is not rigid enough and it has insufficient bracing. Some screws were visible and needed rivetting. The corners displayed movement and the doors bracing had to be rivetted as it was loose and offered little support. I also added vents All work was carried out by me personally. Good shed if improved.

Looked at quite a few shed brands before purchasing this. Seems the more expensive the shed the easier it is to put up. I wouldn't have got this one if I had to put up myself, comes in a lot of small panels. Got a guy to assemble it who does sheds all the time so paid more in labour as I would have in a more expensive shed, paid him $350, took a morning with 2 other guys helping. Is a bit flimsy, recommend getting pegs to hold down. Good double doors, weren't many brands that have a long narrow shed which suited where I put it.

Great shallow depth shed

Was stoked to find a shed that was nice and wide, and only 79cm deep! Most other sheds are walk-in type square shaped sheds. But honestly general storage sheds should be made shallow, where you can just stand outside and use the shed like a cupboard. You don't need a walk in wardrobe (unless you're parking a lawnmower or bike in there). Great size, shape and colour. Thank you!

Garden Shed - instruction booklet

Construction as such, by building panels first, not too difficult, however you do need an extra person for erecting the shed. Suggest to use some (temp) bracing and a windfree day. Instruction booklet errors. There is no step 6, this is recorded as step 1 as well. (First step 1 is checking materials). Drill bit, fairly quickly blunt. (suggest 4.0 bit for Teck screws) Teck screw bit lost magnet. Build own wooden base with full length beams and plywood cover, based on provided measurements.

Serves a purpose

Never quite sure how strong the shed would be and was surprised at how flimsy the panels seem, but it is probably common to all sheds like this. Instructions are pretty poor and photos useless. There were a couple of key things I wanted to know during construction but got no aid from the instructions. You can work out how it all goes together but it could be made a lot easier, and you have to ignore some of their pre drilled holes. I like the configuration which suits our site very well. Doesn't look as though it will be waterproof - hope I'm wrong. It will serve a purpose.

Good price, nightmare setup

Although flimsy it looks good, price was good and we're happy with the final product. But good luck putting it up. The drill was blunt after only a few uses, the bolt broke and we had to purchase our own. If purchasing I'd definitely recommend getting it put together by someone who's done it before with all the tools.

Allow plenty of time to put all the pieces together if building it by yourself. The instructions are a bit hard to understand at times and the supplied rivet gun packed it in half way through building the shed which was frustrating as I had to buy a new one to finish the shed. Shed looks good though and very happy with it as it fits nicely down the narrow side of our house.

I am a week or so from erecting the shed after putting down the floor. Currently waiting on an arborist to cut down trees right next to the floor - thought it better to wait til after the trees come down. Anyway I spent the best part of a day assembling the various parts of the shed icluding walls and roof and suggest the following: 1. wear gloves - the edges of the sheets are sharp and I cut my fingers several times 2. Check carefully before putting frames etc. together or else you will end up holes in places you don't need 3. All parts are explained in the accompanying papers (they are not instructions) with the exception of the screws etc. Check these to ensure you are using the right ones in the right places I am sure I the remaining work is straightforward and would give this product 5 stars but for the inadequate instructions.

Shed was reasonably simple to put together, I put it together by myself in our garage, out of the weather so didn't need to panic to get it done. Once constructed myself and two mates carried it round to the floor I had constructed and screwed it to the floor. Job done, will get another one soon.
