Q:
Is it suitable for the wind conditions of Alexandra, Central Otago?
A:
It has a wind rating up to 90km/h, so you may want to put it in a sheltered area as Alexandra can see strong wind gusts.

Q:
Do u need council consent for this carport?
A:
Generally speaking carports under 20 square meters are exempt from most rules. But as always, contact your local council and make sure you know exactly where you stand.

Q:
Can I anchor the carport in hard ground not concrete?
A:
No we wouldn't recommend this, you could always just do small concrete strips for the anchoring points to avoid building a whole pad.

Q:
How does this carport get fixed to ground ,pegs or do you have to cement it to ground
A:
We always recommend that this car port is bolted down into concrete. It comes with brackets you will just need to get some dynabolts or masonry anchors.

Q:
Hi, This may be higher than I need. I have good tools here. If I carefully cut and reduce the length of the upright members and re-drill holes if necessary, is this do-able?
A:
Sure, if you have the right know-how I don't see why you cant.

Q:
What would you recommend when placing on tar-seal?
A:
If the tarseal is on a base course rather than concrete you won't be able to dynabolt it down, so you'll need to create some concrete footings at the appropriate points (you can use a post hole borer to create holes in tarseal on base) and then dynabolt the frame into these.

Carport

Went together easy enough, I would have liked more detailed instructions( im a newby) brought longer screws for the joins as supplied ones weren't holding. Definitely need a grunty drill !! Pretty stoked for first project.

So pleased with my first carport I bought another one from you. Second one was much easier to erect. I'm 68 and put it up by myself with the help of a rolling scaffold

The joy of assembling life sized mechano.(Steel Lego)

Hi, It gets 4 star for price vs what you get. Fits together easy but the frame screws are far too thin and come loose. I replaced them with a 5mm self tapper steel screw and much shorter than the provided ones. Even when screwed together, the frame is not solid. I welded the joints and did I love welding galvanized 1.6mm steel - NOT !!! The stubby joints for the middle post were welded very skew . . I cut and straightened. I ended up cutting it down in size in length and height as I only need it for a very small car . . . even more welding fun. From 2.6m x 6m down to 4.4m x 2.2m as I have limited space Once done, (It's raining) I will paint it black and update this review - if possible

More than I expected

The carport was easy to put together and erect, was really surprised by the height, totally unexpected. Great instructions, all parts were complete. Value for money, sturdy and looks great when completed. Great deal.

Yeah it's alright

Good for covering the caravan, some surface rust spots already present on the posts but I'm sure I can manage to fix that myself it will do the job, did need to alter the height a bit because of the supports so they didn't knock the vents on the roof of the caravan, took 4 months to arrive so we're having to put it up in the rain not during summer like planned which doesn't help in such a windy area but hey it's not a bad carport.

Carport

I was really amazed at what a good solid carport it was especially for the price, but it is an all hands on deck to get it erected, mainly because of the weight
