Q:
Yes it could be modified with the correct tools and know-how, you would need to be confident cutting steel, etc and because it is galvanised steel making sure to re-protect the cut area. if you give our sales team a call they'll be happy to send you the manual and parts list so you can see what is involved.
A:
The poles are a set height, however if you're good at modification this would be doable. Call our sales team to see a copy of the manual for more details.

Carport on the Coast

Erected this over Xmas. Took a bit longer than expected, partly because I spent a bit of time putting down piles and wooden base plate for it to sit on. Bought longer roof screws so they would go through the peaks. If you used the tiny ones supplied and put them in (all) the troughs you'd end up with foliage being trapped in no time. You have to take care where to place the purlins to make sure you get the best lengthwise overlap of the roof sections. Width-wise the roof provided is just enough to cover the span. I have had some leakage at the overlap, but tolerable given how heavy the rain can be. Removing the plastic film off the roof sections was a real pain! Installed a gutter – plenty of space and the angle is much greater than it needs to be (but it’s on the coast so you don’t want to muck around when it comes to managing run-off). Was impressed with the stability. I think all in all good value for money. Will be interesting to see how it stands up to the elements.

Car port roofing for caravan

Erected ok and I’m not a DIY buff. Roofing screws were not adequate. But for cost , ideal. Also covers quite a large area as can be seen in photo. Covers caravan and awning

Rust everywhere

I've had my carport up for just over a year and it's already riddled with rust. I've treated it with rust converter constantly but I can't even keep up with it. Not to mention how unsightly it is covered in brown stains.

Good quality

Bought this carport to cover the deck between some pods. Pretty happy with the quality for the price. Framing is pretty robust. Easily slots together. Budget extra time for peeling the plastic off the roofing, a bugger of a job!

Flimsy, roof too small

Don't lean on it too hard, wobbles like a beer body. Roof doesn't reach each side, the screws they provide are too short. Budget an extra $150 for added bracing and proper screws. The frosted roof has barely any support. Honestly, just spend the extra coin and get something decent, still kicking myself for going the cheap route.

Great value for money product

Double carport

I mistakenly thought the carport was 6m wide, not long so does align with my garage doors. Error on my part. 20mm screws are not long enough to hold down the roof and 35mm screws are too short to attach the cross members. Please bear in mind that the front part of the screw is for drilling the hole. Would appreciate it if these could be replaced with longer ones - for attaching to metal frame. Other wise reflects fair value for money.

Caroort

Fantastic carport. Very easy to install. But the roofing is terrible. Far to short when you overlap. Not wide enough to cover the carport. Leaks everywhere. Carport is fantastic. But definitely need to look at a different roofing system.

Great product

We are very happy with our product. We used it as a pergola and had to shorten the height and width. The only thing that we did not agree with is the plate screws for the roof. They are short so you have to attached it to the down side. We spend the money on got proper roof screws.
